The good- nice staff, affordable price for full hookups, the restaurant on site does barbecue.
The bad - sits right off route 3 which is very loud, very tight sites, about 8ft between campers.
Would not stay again.
So far we've stayed here three times. I'm sure we will be back again when we are in the St. Louis area. The RV park is ample for our needs and has plenty of room to park an RV pulling a trailer. The real draw for us is the restaurant on the property. Sawmill BBQ has the most mouth-watering BBQ you can imagine. Just think of the best BBQ you can imagine. Sawmill BBQ is way better than that.
This is a fairly nice RV park. We stayed here in our tent while passing through on our way out west. The old couple working the desk are really sweet. The pool is clean and the BBQ restaurant on the premises is grest (and you get a discount). This place isn't very secluded, but if you are looking for a place to look while visit St. Louis, this place is pretty nice.
Pull through sites cannot be guaranteed. If you’re hoping for one look elsewhere… the way they set up their sites is all are back in and your rigs are backed up rear to rear if you choose a center lot.
Access- High speed bumps with obvious damage to cement from prior rigs dragging against them. No defined area to park car haulers, had to be up early one day to move ours after a staff member told us where to park originally. Some residents had their cars parked in a way that blocked off part of the road so it made it difficult to maneuver the RV. Didn’t seem like parking rules were enforced.
Location- General area around the park seems a little sketchy, but it’s close to St Louis (8-9 min) which is nice.
Site Quality- Not very balanced. Some sites have picnic tables. Most, if not all l, have a nice cement pad area for setting-up outside.
WI-FI wasn’t working.
Cleanliness- Showers seemed okay, but lots of hair everywhere and this was around 0800. There is dog poop in various areas of the road, people don’t seem to clean up after their pets and it leaves you having to drive through it when you leave/arrive. The freshwater spouts are located in buckets with “lids” and there were bugs, frogs, and mud inside. It seems some tenants don’t care about their site appearance, and there is no enforcement of site maintenance.
Noise- Near train tracks and main road. Very noisy.
Other- Only two washers and four dryers (one that wasn’t working) for whole park. Seems like a small amount for the number of sites. Also charge $2 per load for each. Their rules says that if you have an electric dryer in your rig you “cannot” use it during the summer months and just use their dryer… BS.
There is a small play area for children and a nice grassy area for football or soccer behind it. Though I’m not sure if that’s the park property. There was a random tent near the back of it.. they also have a pool.
The best thing about this park is the BBQ restaurant; 5/5

Even though it is more like a parking lot, it was pretty quiet overall. We camped at Cahokia RV Parque in a 19' Travel Trailer and Gladiator. Had all hook ups and a patio table. Lot's of places to go in less than 20 minutes with most using the interstate system to St. Louis.

We stayed at Cahokia RV Parque 7/14 to 7/19/2022 and picked it because of its proximity to the many attractions in the metro St. Louis area. When we called several days before our planned arrival there was only one site available for 5 days and "it's at the front of the park, next to the main road and it is going to be very noisy." She was not wrong: We were only feet away from the traffic signal at a very busy intersection. Our FHU gravel pad was bumpy and so steeply inclined that I maxed out front-to-back level capability. For that, and the lack of any attempt at a sound barrier at the street, I gave the Site Quality 3 stars. The park entrance is not well lighted, so can be difficult to find after dark. Still, like many of the parks catering to long-term residents that we have utilized, it served our needs very well.

Close to St. Louis Arch but shuttle service was not in operation when we stayed. Sites not level and too close together. No dog area. Monthly spots filthy and trashy. Only thing to say is the staff was nice and friendly. Guess they don’t control how the park is maintained.

In an industrial area of town. Easy to get to downtown and on and off interstates. Nice employees and all facilities worked well. A bit of road noise at night. Easy pull in site and felt safe. Had a restaurant right next door.

They have a shuttle bus to take you to town. $10 per person round trip. They do not promote this, so if it is of interest to you, you have to ask. (We learned this from another reviewer). We used it and are glad we did. The sites here are tight! But we were only here a couple of nights, and it was so close to the Arch it made it worth it to us. They have a laundry and showers. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They also have a pool. TV antenna worked great. The internet is nonexistent unless, you walk up to the store and sit. There is a restaurant right in front of the park with its entrance in the park. 10% discount for the campers. We only had the fries which complemented our hotdogs :). And warm cheesecake which was great! Sawmill B-B-Q is the name of the restaurant.
The highway noise was TERRIBLE!!!!!
Would only stay here again if visiting the Arch.

As others have said this campground is a good option for visiting things in St Louis if you don't plan to spend a lot of time at the campground. It is located in what seems like a fairly industrial area along a fairly busy road. Road noise can be loud and its also on the approach path for St Louis Downtown Airport. The sites were not that big and had zero privacy. Our site was a pull thru but appeared that to set up to have to units on that drive. So you'd likely have a trailer fairly close behind yours. We had full bars of Verizon 5G and 53 channels. The site was mostly level. They have wifi but I was never able to connect to it.
