Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on May 08, 2024Brand new campground, just opened April 22nd in Lake Lanier Islands park. Full hook up, concrete pads, nice landscaping. Have not gone in the bath houses, but they look nice. We are in site #26 and have a wonderful water view. It barely fits our 43' MH with our car parked sideways in front of it. Sites are pretty close together and this place was packed over the weekend (of course), but lovely here during the week with barely any other campers. Site #20 looks to be the best site here with an amazing water view from your patio side. There will be boat docks and a pier to go to, but they are finishing that area up now. Nice, friendly staff at the front desk.

We come to Lake Lanier often to camp when my spouse has work in Alpharetta, but since most of the campgrounds close in October, we decided to try Margaritaville RV resort this time. After our stay, how we wish the other campgrounds would stay open at least through NOV. This "resort" (and I use that term VERY lightly) is an overpriced frat house. The only positive about this campground is the concrete pads are extremely level. Now for the numerous negatives. Skinny roads coming in to the park with high curbs. We commented about all the tire marks on the curbs. We didn't hit, but we have an Airstream that is just barely wider than our truck. Fraudulent advertising on the website; there is NO LAUNDRY, was told 4 days into stay, that it will be built in the next phase. Umm....then you shouldn't have it listed as one of your amenities! We would have altered our camping style had we known this! The posted speed limit of 20 mph in the park (and 10mph in the campground) is NOT enforced in any way, with even the resort workers flying by as I'm walking my dog at dangerous speeds (think 40 mph whipping by with no sidewalks or curbs for buffer...walk at your own risk!). Speaking of dogs, they have a few dog poop bag stations that were empty the ENTIRE time were stayed there. We full time in our trailer, so carry bags at all times, but very few others did (weekend campers), so you can guess what the grass areas looked like. I could go on and on about all the negatives here (and no, I'm not against RV resorts, we avail ourselves of many types of campgrounds in our travels), but I won't. What I will say is this: Even though my spouse's company paid the $70 a night we were charged here and cost us nothing, I feel ripped off. This place would barely be worth $30 a night in my opinion. One thing is for certain, we will NEVER come back to this campground. If my spouse has to be here for work in the future, and the other local campgrounds are closed, then they will be flying in to Atlanta, and staying at a hotel!

We were so excited to come to this RV Resort. Disappointed is the word. This is a brand new campground with beautiful grounds leading up to the campground. The campground is ruined by how close each site is to your neighbor. There are only a few sites (22, 21) where you have some level of privacy. We pulled into a site that was never cleaned - actually I never saw ANY cleaning happening at all. We saw folks leave and then new campers arrive without anything being touched. Our fire pit had 1/2 burnt logs in it and our site grill still had old burnt ashes in it. Had they spaced out the sites - this could have been wonderful. Internet was horrible but thankfully cellular coverage was strong so we used our hotspots. These sites all have 50AMP, Water, Sewer, Cable.... Cable was horrible as well - we used our TV antenna and had more channels. All in all - I give this campground a 2 out of 5 rating and that is being generous. Won't stay again!!!

We camped in the new section, pull through site 74. For a new concrete site they are not totally level. Our leveling system took some time to get it corrected. Our site was tight!!! Not a lot of hangout room outside. Our cable TV at our site was not working. Called the office and was told they were knew about the issue. I had no cable TV the entire 6 days. For $110 a night, I should have had cable. Family used the out houses and each night there were no hot water. Again called the front office and was told they would look into it. No hot water the entire 6 days. Be prepared for the late night golf cart riders cruising around playing loud music. They nickel and dime you. $15.00 to enter the park for parking. For a resort, they offer no pool or playground. You have to pay an extra $38 a day for that. There is no trees or shade. On a good note, the park is clean and the margarita cart that comes by each site every night has great margaritas.

I almost didn’t make my reservations based on the reviews here but I’m so glad we gave this campground a shot! The sites are huge, the wifi is amazing. My daughter and I both work from home and never had to use our hotspots and I was able to watch streaming movies with no issues. The staff was friendly and helpful with any request. We liked our site 87 the best. It was up against a small wooded area so you felt like the site was really private. The grounds are well kept, bathrooms very clean. You get beach access and we even found a small secluded beach that very few knew about right down from our site. I was really sad we had to leave! Golf cart rentals are available. Restaurants, Marina And Golf Course all on the islands. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because Lake Lanier Islands (where the campground is located) charged a $20 resort fee to get on the island. It should be free if your paying for lodging.

Did a stay here over spring break for 8 days. Really nice place! Campground is really spread out with views of the lake from it seems every site. Bathhouses are super clean and it seems the grounds are tended to very well and often.
I can’t talk about the water park as it is out of season and wasn’t open.
The cable at our site didn’t seem to work and the WiFi is pretty bad. At times it would work but more often than not, it was a lot of buffering. Thank goodness for hotspots.

Place is beautiful and clean. We love the beach, and I don’t think there’s a bad view in the whole campground.

Pretty well kept campground with concrete pads. Some sites have big drop off to the lake but beautiful views. We were in pull through site 102 and it fit our 45’ fifth wheel with dually truck, bikes and golf cart spaciously. Bathhouse was very clean. Wifi was good to stream, good water pressure and no issues with electric or sewer. The water park Is great for families and so is the beach area (the water park is extra charge but beach pass included in camp stay). Those areas can be better maintained and cleaner, but there was Ana event so there were many people there. Saw several deer everyday and the golf course is too notch. Beautiful fireworks display on Saturday! Take or rent a golf cart because Margaritaville is huge!

Very nice RV park which actually feels like a resort. Everything was clean and the section we were in was nice and wooded. I saw other reviews complain about the new section but I could find nothing to complain about. All the sites felt private and shaded. We had a nice view and all of the hook ups were great. We will definitely come back to this campground soon.

Your stay comes with fun perks like a drink cart that makes its rounds through the campground each evening, the possibility of food delivered to your campsite and discount passes to the beach and water park. This is also a whole giant complex with multiple restaurants, boat rentals, golf and more inside.
The spots are nice with two loops having concrete pads and manicured grass and another loop that has much more trees and shade and nature feel with gravel pads. The more nature loop has some of the best lake front spots in our opinion but almost every spot has lake views.
We did have an issue where the water went out on half the campground during our stay. We used one of the campground showers and it was underwhelming at best. The campground did call and email to update us about the water issue throughout the process but no refund or offer to move to a loop where it did work was ever given.
This place is more expensive than we usually pay and while it was nice and would probably be fun for a true vacation getaway, we would choose some of the nearby COE campgrounds over it.
We struggled with AT&T service throughout the park, some places it worked better than others. We mostly relied on the park internet which during the week (during the school year) worked fine with the park being more than half empty but was pretty bogged down on the weekend when the park was full.
