Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 26, 2023We absolutely loved this campground! Eric was so helpful and all the staff was over and beyond courteous. We had a very peaceful site with lots of room to spread out! Lots of play areas for the kids and 2 lakes.
This was just an overnighter for us, but it was a very cool place.
Playgrounds, tons of forests, hiking trails, a little lake, even a sledriding hill if you show up in the Wintertime.
Our spot was very spacious, and very few other people were camping this time of year (October)...but our spot also had a feel as though it was someone's seasonal site: a can crusher bolted to a tree, a small wooden crate that likely served as a stoop to someone's RV, and a fence separated this spot from the one next to it, where there was a fifth wheel with a shed and other trappings of permanency but no one was there that night.
The bathrooms are far away from where we stayed, but VERY nice. You get your own shower and toilet behind a locked door, they were heated, and clean.
There's a store with fishing gear, souvenirs, canned goods and snacks.
No sewage, but a dump station. It wouldn't be hard to stay here longer, we were just trying to get south and out of the cold.

You'll have to navigate some steep hills to get in and out of here, plus some pretty big potholes/mudpuddles. It's a scenic place, decent bathrooms, reliable water and electric. Sites are spaced reasonably far apart.
We had noisy neighbors a couple nights in a row. Rules were not enforced and one group from Ohio was incredibly noisy until 2 or 3am even after being asked to keep it down. Can't really blame the campground for that, although there are some places that really crack down on that kind of rudeness. Not here.
It's a bit remote, which can be fun for a weekend getaway, or annoying if you're staying for longer. RV-unfriendly Morgantown is a 20 minute drive away, with some of the steepest Interstate miles east of the Rockies.
Absolutely no service with T-Mobile/MetroPCS and AT&T was spotty.

Stayed here 12/31/19, 3/26/19. This campground is easy to get to to on/ off the highway. It is open year round and there is opportunity for outdoor activities all year. The RV sites are equipped with water and 30amp electrical connections. Other amenities include a dump station, pavilions, playgrounds, fishing ponds (catch and release – no fishing permit required), beach/ swimming area, sledding hill, restrooms, and shower house. We have enjoyed each of our stays here and would return again in the future.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Tennessee to visit family. There are not many sites available for larger rigs. We had a 33' fifth-wheel and were able to back into our site with no problem. We had water and electric. They have a dump station available but make sure you drive there first without your RV to make sure you can fit. The road is uphill, narrow and no place to turn around. There were low hanging wires so we did not take the chance. Very muddy after a rain with lots of pot holes. Not very close to town if you need supplies.

I stayed during the week mid August 2023. Only a few campers/RV during that time. Nice wooded area and quiet ( might be different on the weekend). Showers and bathrooms are old but clean. Swimming area looks like a dirty pond (I didn’t use). All in all, the grounds are well kept and clean.
