2015 is the first full season for this private C/G. The owners are outstandingly helpful and personable and their "glass is always half full." The sites are gravel, wired 20 or 30 amp as appropriate with the dump station and fresh water nearby. Most sites are semi wooded so there is shade for part of the day.
This is not a tourist park or playground. Most c/g's in the NE are and you pay for that dearly. Not so at Oceanfront. This is excellant basic camping with no noise or light pollution. If you want a sea breeze, starlight nights, kids playing on the stone beach and discovering what nature has to offer, this is your place.
The surrounding area is full of interesting places to visit. The Wooden Boat School is located in town as is the historic Brooklin Boat Works along with craftsmen and artists galleries. This area is very historic going back to the 1600's under four flags. It is near Acadia NP, Bar Harbor, Camden and Old Town, ME.
Came back in 2016 to see the improvements. They are plentiful! More water sources, more sites, new contract camping sites with full service. And, more trees are down to improve the awesome ocean view. Internet at the entrance, free showers, dishwashing station and a small lounge. Firewood and ice available.

Everything about this place was fabulous, the campsite itself was clean and well put together. The beach is a short walk and absolutely gorgeous. The owners were welcoming and helpful to say they least, anything we needed they were more than willing to help. Would definitely call them friends after a few nights around the fire with drinks in hand. Would For sure spend more time here if we could-plan on spending at least 2-3 nights to fully enjoy this place. Thanks again!

Well maintained, friendly campground with sites that are well laid out. Lori and Carol made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Views from the beach are wonderful. Gave location a 5 but realize that you will drive 40 minutes minimum and usually more to most towns/touristed areas. Great sunsets! Lobster brought to the site was delicious. Showers were clean and located at the office. Portapotties scattered throughout the grounds were cleaned often. Just wish they had fixed restrooms to make this an even better stay. Site was pretty level. Wood was reasonable and kindling a good deal. Dump station by the office was easy for our rig. We took away nice memories and would come back here.

This is the most charming campground in Maine. It is beautifully landscaped and the gravel roads are perfectly maintained. In addition to the main bathrooms at the office there are very clean put toilets throughout the grounds. Site was also very clean and almost perfectly level. While there are only 3 or 4 sites with ocean views they have some very nice public areas you can relax and enjoy watching the boats go by.

Lovely rustic campground in a very small town. Rocky beach area to watch sunsets and look at Deer Isle in distance. Very clean, but you only get electric which is ok if you’re prepared. Our biggest issue was with the lack of privacy. There is none. Very little trees between sites so you are in full view of your camping mates. Everyone sees everyone and hears everyone’s conversations. If the sites were better landscaped to afford some privacy that would make this campground a true pleasure. Fire pits located by road too made for an even greater feel of being out in the open.

Came out to greet us by name when we pulled in. Site was relatively level and offered fair privacy. Easy walk to the beach. Multiple bathrooms throughout the grounds with showers outdoors at the office. Clean and well maintained. Beautiful sunsets over the water.
