“Better than a home away from home”
Located at the Port of Brookings-Harbor, Oregon, think of Driftwood RV Park (DWRVP) as your home away from home ... with a few 'perks' you probably won't find anywhere else. For starters, we're a short 5-minute walk to the beach, restaurants, specialty shops and the marina. For you fishermen and women, there's ocean fishing for Chinook Salmon, Rockfish and Halibut (when in season). If your tastes lean more toward fresh water, you can drift the Chetco River or fish from the bank for Steelhead.

Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on May 18, 2022Lovely quiet creekside spot is what I was treated to when I arrived from SoCal. A short 3 minute walk to the beach makes the Driftwood an ideal location in Brookings/Harbor. I’ll definitely be back👍

This is the first time I've stayed at this park. It is about two blocks from the ocean beach, making it within walking distance. I've seen the park before as I live about 150 miles inland and visit Brookings often. I knew this park would be open as the state parks were closed due to COVID-19.
Seeing the park from the road as you drive by is deceiving as it's much bigger than it looks. When I checked in, the gal who I met was friendly and very helpful. The guy who showed me to my spot was great too. He made sure that I was happy and that everything was all lined up. The spaces are all gravel and well kept.
Although it rained the second day of my stay (it is Oregon after all!) this park is a nice place to stay. It's location is close enough to the beach that you can walk. I recommend it and will definitely visit them again.

Unless desperate for a clean shower, wi-fi and laundry facilities, and don’t mind your RV filling with the idling fumes from long term “campers” at 6:30 loading up for jobs, don’t bother. Yes, owners are sweet and place is clean. The smaller Beachfront RV, which is across the road and ON the beach, is the vibe for those of us who are self-contained and prefer green grass to asphalt and the ocean in view. Also cheaper! Sorry we missed it - it wasn’t on Campendium!

We have stayed at a different park in Brookings every time and still can't find one that we want to return to. There's really nothing wrong with Driftwood. It's clean and well laid out. Everything works fine except the sewer hookup is uphill so we didn't connect for our short stay. Staff is friendly, always working to keep things maintained. Laundry room is clean, all the machines work. The app for paying the machines triggered a fraud alert on my bank account and they don't have a change machine so that wasn't a great experience. $1.75 for an hour on the large dryer is a good deal though. Their WiFi worked all the time, every time.
The location is close to the harbor and all its eateries and little shops. You can walk to the beach area. It's very quiet here, and dark enough at night to leave windows open.
It's just not very appealing. No grass anywhere in the park except at the very front with signs to keep your dogs off the space. So if your pooch won't do their business on asphalt or large gravel you have to go across the street for a stretch of grass. The surrounding trees are pretty, but the park is a monochromatic blah.
We would stay again but are still hoping to find a spot with more appeal.

Coming to the Southern Oregon coast in your RV? Driftwood is the closest to the beach of the privately owned parks in the area. It is just a 3-5 minute walk to the ocean, the marina and shops and restaurants. We feature all full hook-ups with many pull-thru and 50 AMP sites. We have free WiFi and cable TV plus a meeting room and gas grills for our guests. Our restrooms are clean and the showers are free. Driftwood is family owned and operated and it a great place for a pleasant stay at the beach.
