However, if you are tent camping ( or have a small van like us) it is not as enjoyable. The showers and the restrooms were kind of gross, and you have very little privacy. However, most people had large fully contained RV's, and didn't seem to mind. The park itself doesn't really have any hiking, but they do have a wonderful picnic/ park area. If you want to go somewhere, and just sit on a relatively private beach all day, I would definitely recommend this place.

Very clean park, many children in the summer. Sites along the lake can be chilly into June with a breeze of the Lake. Sault Sainte Marie is 20 minutes East for a visit to the Soo Locks and other activities

Quintessential family camping. It was perfect for our needs. Showers and restrooms were clean. Lots of families enjoying the beach and playing lawn games. We both wished we could have stayed longer. Loved this place!

Overall campground is condensed and crowded. The sites on the outside loop seem to have more privacy because there’s woods behind you. Site 215 has beach access. I believe that we had one of the best sites at this location.

We showed up with no reservations here on 8/17/18 and were lucky to get a spot, as they had just had a cancellation 5 minutes before we arrived. The campground was bustling with activity, but no one was overly loud or rowdy. There were ample shower facilities, 2 dump stations, and water fill stations, which was good b/c the sites are electric only. We had to do a bit of maneuvering to get our 30' rig into our site, but it wasn't too bad. There's also nice lake access points throughout the park.
