Lake Darling State Park

What a surprise this park was to us. The park has been completely renovated within the last few years and they did an excellent job. The campsites were spaced out nicely, and fairly level. You can camp up on the top of the hill or be right on the lake front. The restroom facilities were clean and pleasant. The individual shower rooms had hooks on the wall, shower curtain in each stall and a bench to sit on. There is a trail that goes around most of the lake and the roads have a great cement surface for riding bikes. What a great place to camp for a short getaway from the daily routine.

They have a wide variety of campsites to pick from. The full hookup sites are 19.00 per night. The lake is beautiful and the beach is well kept. We had good cell service with US Cellular

We only spent one night here but will return to serve as Host for the campground this summer. The campground has plenty of site right along the lake as well as others on the hills overlooking. Easy access to boating/fishing/biking/hiking trails. Very reasonable rates with options for full hook ups, water and electric sites, and non-electric sites with easy access to a dumpsite. Looking forward to spending the summer here.
