“World famous fishing in Bridgeport”

Paradise Shores RV Park and Resort is conveniently situated close to many High Sierra attractions. This area is one of the most spectacular in the world and offers exceptional recreational activities. We are fortunate to be located on Bridgeport Reservoir, Ca. with it's world famous fishing and water sports. The blue ribbon trout fishing of the East Walker River is just minutes away. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono, June, Convict and Twin Lakes, as well as the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from our park.

The drought has moved the shores 400 yards from the park, but there is water access just up the road where boats were putting in every day we were here for some fishing.

Level, gravel sites with FHUs. We had 30 AMP that worked great. Nice trees, but we were able to get satellite with no problem. Clean laundry and restrooms with showers. WiFi worked most of the time. Lovely fire pit and seating - Saturday night the owners had a nice fire and several campers joined in for conversation. Very easy access off Hwy 182, but no road noise at all. Lots of fishermen and hunters use the park and are quiet and super nice.

The young owners are delightful and keep this park very clean and well maintained. Dog friendly with plenty of space below the park for running free.

We loved the views of the Sierras and the huge meadowlands of Bridgeport Valley. 3 miles to town for groceries, eateries, gas, supplies, auto parts. Zero light pollution makes star gazing a joy.

No AT&T coverage - three bars in town. Much better quality than the park 1/2 mile west of here.

We will definitely be back - loved our stay here!

Nice park right on the reservoir. Community fire circle, picnic area, hammocks. Only 30A, and poor water pressure. Only one washing machine, which was always busy, so we went to the laundry in town. Site was purely gravel, with no shade. But the view made up for it. And the community fire circle was pretty cool.

Agree with the other review that you definitely want to stay here instead of the neighboring property which looked like a typical run-down sad park.

This place is so good, you have to promise us you don't tell anyone else about it. A small private campground, right on the Bridgeport Reservoir. They have RV sites with full hookups, tent sites, and even a few well-appointed trailers for vacationers without any gear or RV of their own.

It's clear that the owners put a lot of time and effort into the place. It is clear that they are continuously working to improve the campground. The facilities are not just clean, but indeed, charming. The sites are a little tight perhaps, but the views are stellar throughout. Mountains, beach, hills; it's all there. They even have kayaks and a small pedal boat for guests to use, free of charge. The staff is always around, and super helpful.

Mono Lake is just down 12 miles the road, and the north gate of Yosemite only a little further. The small town of nearby Bridgeport is cute, and right around the corner are the Travertine Hot Springs.

And to top it all off, the wifi is not just reliable, but very fast. Unheard of in the campground world. And, if you have Verizon, you get a very solid 4/5 LTE bars (which you won't need, because the wifi is insane).

Being on the road full-time, this is a wonderful find, and we will certainly stay here again each time we're winding our way up or down the eastern Sierras on Route and 395.

Yes, it's gravel pads. Yes it can be hot without shade trees, or blustery when the winds announce the season change.

This adorable little campground makes up for it with super clean bathrooms, great views over the lake, community firepit, and most importantly, great camp-hosts!

Charly and Kelli from @slowdownseemore are such great hosts. They gave endless tips for places to hike, see, and soak in. Grateful to have met them and shared stories, and a beer around a community fire

Highly recommended!

Charlie and Kelli are super friendly and helpful people... they were managing the place when we arrived. They answered every question we had about the local fishing, hiking, and camping. They organized a fun campfire with smores and live music... Charlie on guitar and Kelli singing. They are a great team!

The park is located right on the lake and has excellent access to the water. There are a couple of kayaks and paddle boards available for use (free). We had a signal on our phones, but the park offers FREE wifi. The bathrooms are the nicest we have ever seen in any park. Very cute and super clean! We met some very cool people from all over the world that had come to stay at the park. We will definitely return!

This is an amazingly beautiful little RV park right on the Bridgeport reservoir. There is parking for just about any sized RV, plus the tent spots are really amazing being closest to the water. There are a handful of permanent RVs for rent that are neatly decorated and fun. The entire place is clean and super quiet. We are here at the first of the season and during the week so it’s pretty quiet. There are so many things to see and do that there are few around during the day, leaving the kayaks and surfboards for anyone to enjoy on the water while everyone else is away!
Being early May the snowy Sierra Nevada is stupendous and surrounds you on one side. On the other is the drier high altitude mountains of the gold mining camps where there are amazing sites to explore. It has been a cold 25F in the morning but as high as 80F today. The winds have been blowing on and off until today and it’s gotten quite warm.
The owners are Alan and Veronika and are warm and friendly. Being so early in the season and with the winds there have been few campfires; maybe tonight!
A few practical things: there are some small food mart / gas station / deli places in Bridgeport but no grocery or drug stores. The closest larger market is probably Lee Vining. Also, if you are checking weather in prep for your holiday be sure to have the correct Bridgeport, CA. There are 3 and one isn’t that far away but has very different weather! We made the mistake of bringing 90degF weather clothes, not 65F with 25F lows!
The WiFi is good but I wouldn’t use it for streaming; we listened in on a Zoom conference and had several times we missed key things. There is almost no AT&T signal; only 4G with a WeBoost and barely useable - but we had WiFi so it was fine. There is no cable or broadcast TV available.

Our stay at Paradise Shores couldn't have been better. We first heard about Paradise Shores from some new friends and their recommendation didn't disappointed.

We road tripped up to Bridgeport With another set of friends, when we arrived a small storm was just coming in so we enjoyed the evening indoors.

When we woke up we had about 3" of fresh snow and were in a winter wonderland next to Bridgeport Reservoir. By the afternoon the snow was gone the sun came out and the wild flowers we visible.

We spent our second evening around the community campfire and enjoyed some time with all our new friends and the owners of Paradise Shores.

We would highly recommend a stay here as the owners are very hospitable and accommodating. Can't wait to come back again.
