“with more than 70 exhibits in exotic waters”
Take a trip to exotic waters and experience more than 70 exhibits featuring aquatic animals from around the world. Don't miss the fearsome lionfish, the delicate leafy seadragons and the mysterious giant Pacific octopus. Go out back to see the Northern fur seals in action in their open-air exhibit, and be sure to visit the Atlantic harbor seals out front.
I love this aquarium! I have been here so many times. It is really nice that it is near the harbor, too
The New England Aquarium is open year-round and is a great way to visit various sea creatures. The aquarium is accessible to everyone, including anyone with wheelchairs and/or is visually/hearing impaired.
While visiting, you can view African Penguins, seals, sea lions, stingrays, sea turtles, jellyfish, and much more. There are several exhibits throughout the aquarium, such as the Indo-Pacific Coral Reef Exhibit, Atlantic Harbor Seals Exhibit, Penguin Colony, The Marine Mammal Center, the Giant Ocean Tank, and the Olympic Coast.
The New England Aquarium has thousands of marine animals to see, and has the largest shark and ray touch-tank on the entire East Coast. The aquarium also offers a whale-watching tour.
We think a visit here is one of the best things to do in Boston!
Nice aquarium. Some areas were very congested, especially if you have a stroller or wheelchair needing elevator access. We saw everything in about 2 1/2 hours.
My favorite aquarium in the world. I grew up going here, on school field trips and the occasional trip into Boston with my family. I absolutely love it. It's dark and very atmospheric. The jelly fish exhibit is just gorgeous, and their's a "petting" area for kids to touch stingrays. My two year old loves visiting here, and when it's not super busy, it's a place you'll see people on dates. I can't praise this aquarium enough, it's absolutely worth a stop if you're visiting Boston for a few days or just driving through on I-95.
An awesome aquarium - one of the best I've ever been to. I can't really speak to how robust their programming is, but it's worth checking out before you visit so that you catch an awesome show on the right day. Pretty special that it's right on the water and you can head out for a ghost tour or whale watch right next door
