“wildlife in action!”
Adjacent to Poison Springs State Forest, this park lies on the shore of 1,700-acre Lower White Oak Lake. NOTE: Due to reparis being made on the dam, Lower White Oake Lake is currently without water. The lake is not expected to refill until 2014. The park marina is closed until that time. This includes the park's boat rentals. Anglers can drive a short distance from the park to fish for bass, bream, and catfish in Upper White Oak Lake. All other facilities in the park remain open. Watchable wildlife and bird watching opportunities abound here. The park offers regular sightings of great blue heron, egret, osprey, and green heron, and in wintertime, migrating bald eagles. While the lake is drained, many new bird species are being seen due to the habitat change in the lake bed. Park facilities include 45 campsites (four Class A, 37 Class B, and four Tent Sites); a store with supplies and gifts for sale (open throughout the year); standard pavilion; picnic sites; and a playground. The visitor center includes exhibits and a CD interactive program. Bicycles can be rented here. Choose from the park's hiking trails or almost 10 miles of mountain bike trails leading through a diversity of natural environments ranging from marshlands to Beech covered ridges. A variety of interpretive programs, including guided hikes, are offered during the summer.

We absolutely loved this park. It is relatively small and intimate. The RV sites are paved and well laid out. The restrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained. The scenery is beautiful. There are several well marked hiking and biking trails, and bicycles and boats to rent. The park staff were pleasant and helpful. There are 30 amp and 50 amp sites. Most are back-in, but there are a few pull-through.The only negative is that we had no cell service via AT&T. We will definitely camp here again.

On our 2018 trip to see family in North Carolina Dude RV pays a visit to White Oak Lake State Park in Bluff City, Arkansas. On our first day of travel we head up to Bluff City Ark just so we can visit and video White Oak Lake State Park. This beautiful Arkansas State Park is so pretty! Ideal for fishing, camping, hiking and boating of every type! Thanks to the easy access to water this park is perfect for the mobility challenged camper.
The only real negative that I could find is that most of the water side RV sites are backwards, meaning that your patio faces away from the lake. One just has to wonder what the planner was thinking.
We truly enjoyed our short visit to this great Arkansas state park and look forward to a return visit to to White Oak Lake State park.

Access to the park is good. Pavement all the way. Signage is great. The park was very easy to find.
The park office is located near the entrance. Check in was quick, informative and pleasant. We were assigned a spot, site 15, right near the boat dock. It was wide back in that was just long enough for our rig and towed. Service were to the left rear but the table, fire pit etc were also located on the left side.
One usually finds then on the right. A minor inconvenience. Wifi was decent. The park is quiet during the day but in the evening we were serenaded by frogs etc. It was quite loud but still very pleasant. We wish we could have spent more time here. There is plenty to do. Lots of hiking, power boat and peddle boat rentals, fishing and just enjoying the ambience.
We paid $25.00 per night and feel we received good value for our dollar..
We would love to come back here.

The park is clean. I will give the bathrooms a 7 out of 10 for cleanliness. There is a visitor center with very helpful workers. The store has reasonably priced bait and tackle. My main groups gripe is all of the campsites we’re facing away from the water. It’s as of the campground was set up backwards. But the sites were paved and most seemed even. Great access to the water, even without a boat. We got the crap bit out of us - thought it was mosquitoes but the bites won’t go away. There is a great bike trail and a few walking trails. Pretty close to Camden, which has nice stores and laundromat.
