“with something for every type of beer drinker”
Donny Abraczinskas takes a lot of pride in his craft and carefully selects the ingredients that give each of the brews so much life. The Pub offers a wide array of styles with something for every type of beer drinker. A few beers are staples and stay on tap year round, there are seasonal brews to celebrate the always changing seasons of beautiful NEPA. There are ten beers on tap and a Cask-Conditioned Beer Engine that always has a new brew for your taste buds. We believe in serving the highest quality of food with an emphasis on buying local, organic produce and meats. Head Chef, Steve Tloczynski, and staff prepare fresh ingredients on a daily basis to ensure our customers’ utmost satisfaction. The menu is a blend of Americana pub food with splashes of international flavor influences – start with Curry Shrimp and make your way to an All Organic Grassfed Burger from Fork’s Farm or try the Duck Salad and move to Panko Crusted Salmon from Wild for Salmon set atop our delicious Horseradish Potato Soup. Or maybe just an appetizer, Nachos with Barn Dance Blonde infused Queso sauce, and a nice, cold brew.
Beautiful Building that was well kept and huge. Had a farmers market outside when we arrived. The food was great and fresh ( We got a salmon salad, homemade potato chips, and portabello sandwich) .
We got the sampler and found it to have 6 very distinct brews. Also the descriptions were very detailed and accurate. Did not find them to be too hoppy, and even the ones we didn't care for seemed to be characteristic of the style beer they were supposed to be.
Food is ok, beer isn’t good at all.
They have a six beer sampler served in what looks like an old fashioned milk bottle carrier. I ended up doing just a couple samples and while not bad, they were just too hoppy for my liking but they did have a half a dozen or so options with a range of tastes.
Open seven days a week at 4:00. They have an emphasis on buying local, organic produce and meats. Head Chef, Steve Bigger, and staff prepare fresh ingredients on a daily basis. Their appetizers have a few that struck me as unique, Fried Pierogies especially which we tried and they were really good but there were only 3 of them for $6 which wasnt a great value. They have a different take on Nachos with a Chocolate Chipotle sauce. The burgers they have some typical creations but what makes it unique is the ability to choose between Angus and Grass Fed Beef. My wife had the Brewhouse Grass Fed burger and I chose the Grass Fed Black and Blue Burger because I love the taste of crisp bagon and blue cheese crumbles on a burger minus onions of course ;-) When it combined with some nice cajon seasoning, it had a little bite but a nice smokey finish. Absolutely worth the extra $3 for grass fed, was probably one of the best burgers, my wife and I ever had.
They offer a Meet the Brewer Tasting / Pairing Session on Tuesdays which we took advantage of. It was neat being able to try the beer while sampling paired foods and talking with the guy that makes the beer.
Parking was really easy, it was a full lot but the parking lot looked like it had been very recently redone.
The building was very quaint and had a unique setup. We sat upstairs in the main dining room with the post and beam cathedral ceiling. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean and we liked the ambiance.
They also have an Inn / B&B tied to the Brewery as well. We did not stay but it did look appealing and would certainly consider staying on a future visit. All in All, we would definitely come back if we were in the area. "
We went with two small children for a late dinner time mid week and there was a packed parking lot but no wait.
