“filming location for Friday the 13th!”
ATTENTION: This is private property. Please do not trespass. Non scouting visitors will be asked to leave or the state police will be called. Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, also known as NoBe, is a Boy Scouts of America camp located in Hardwick Township, New Jersey, owned by the Northern New Jersey Council. It opened in 1927. In 1979, the first Friday the 13th movie was filmed here, and has become a major part of NoBe's history. The camp was the main filming location, and many of the structures are still the same. The movie spawned countless sequels, and practically invented the slasher horror film genre, inspiring Freddy Krueger (who he later fought) as well as future movie killers. Camp Crystal lake was originally said to be in NJ (where the original was actually filmed) but subsequent movies claim the camp is located in CT (where the 2nd film was shot). The camp is private property of the Boy Scouts of America and is NOT open to non-Scout visitors.
Michael Myers actually inspired the original Friday the 13th, not the other way around. Halloween came out in 1978, Friday the 13th came out in 1980.
I LOVE FRIDAY THE 13TH AND DONUTS
This is an active boy scout camp, not open to general public. Camp office is not open 24 hours, please do not call camp phone number to ask for a tour.
hi there Camp Crystal lake is Jason Voorhees by yous I just want to know cause I am a huge fan of him cause I like his horror movies ! I would like to speak with him
I got on the mailing list a few years ago and was finally able to get up to the area on a vacation trip, and they just happened to be doing one of the tours at that time. It is an active camp but they do some tours maybe 3-4 times a year kinda over a few days each time. Shows you where parts of the movie was filmed.
Not a place to go out of the way to see. Don’t waste gas or time. No visitors allowed.
Hello ppl they do Tours you have to sign up for them you can get an extended tour which is 3.5 hours or a reg one that is 1.5
You have to go to the website and put your name on the mailing list they will email when tours are avaliable the scouts maintain the filming sights there when they attened camp some even host the tour
Best way is just to sneak in and when people ask you to leave you do
I would love to go there because of Jason
They were saying that the Friday the 13th movies inspired Freddy in the Nightmare on Elm Street sequels and that Freddy and Jason have their own fight in Freddy vs. Jason.
