Needless to say, we had a hard time getting in the sight and the electric was not in the most convenient spot, our cord barely made it. When we pulled in, the skies opened up in a torrential downpour. The camp host was so nice, she sat and chatted away while we waited for the rain to stop. The layout of the site was such that our RV was uphill from the picnic table and the rest of the site. Since this was only a stopover for us, we didn't spread out too much and the rain kept us inside. From what we saw, the lake seemed very nice. The campground is sort of on a pinensula so the sites near the loop have a nice lake view. The sites appear close together but well maintained. We would probably come back again, if nothing else than for a quick stopover.

We pulled in late at night so we selected a pull through site. It was nice and quiet and one of the few pull through sites that isn’t right by the road. They have some very nice sites. I would definitely stay here again.

I ducked in here for a couple nights to give my batteries a break from the many days of clouds and rain I’d been in. It was the last week of the season (end of October) and I was the only one there. Nice heated shower room with plenty of hot water. The drive in from the main road is a bit long. $8 is the senior 50% off rate.

I was in a pull through site, no water hookups, electricity only sites. You are close to the road and some campers ignored the camper length and were extended out into the road. My son loved it for the fishing and we would definitely return. It was a holiday weekend but people weren’t rowdy, very respectful of others.

We stayed here on an overnight at one of our first COE campgrounds. With our 30’ travel trailer. We stayed in mid-November. The park is beautiful with 180 degree views of the lake. We used none of the facilities although the bathroom and showers looked clean, but do not know whether the water in the showers was hot. We weren’t sure how they were going to be lit since there were no switches for the lights. Our only problem with the campground was the difficulties we experienced with power. The site we had reserved (59) did not give any power to our RV surge protector on 50 amps. We moved to Site 60. Here the 50 amp plug was giving too high of voltage (over 130v). We switched to 30 amp plug and were able to get by with only 30 amps although we did forget we were on 30 amp and tripped the breaker. Coming from I 30, the GPS took us through the country. Getting back on I 30, we found many more services available at the next exit which we had never imagined were so close. One other concern was the drop off from the RV pad. We positioned our door as to not be able to get out of the RV safely in the dark. We are returning as we head back.
