Lenox Marcus Camping Area

Bathrooms are open without doors on stalls. Spider webs and wasps in there. The lake. Awesome. Some sites don't have grills or tables. But it wasn't too bad. Quiet and peaceful most of the time. Some questionable people around sometimes.

I selected a site near the boat ramp. It had a picnic table on a concrete slap and was waterfront. There were many people camping in the area but it was nice and quiet and so peaceful with one notable exception. About 4:30-5:00 a.m. Sunday morning, one young lady who was with a group of young people camping in tents across from me who’d been quiet during evening hours got angry, yelled at someone in the group, got in her car slamming her car door and accelerating rapidly as she left. I was in my tent and couldn’t avoid hearing her. Other than that one extremely loud event there were no issues. And let me add the bathrooms are not nice but it’s free so just be prepared for that. I would love to come back and stay longer. My neighbor in the converted ambulance had the right idea. He brought his paddle board and his bike. The area is really beautiful. Finally let me add about my experience with cell service. I have AT&T. I couldn’t get a signal at my site but I walked up the hill and I had no problem calling out.

Not all that big so everyone can be pretty close together if it’s crowded. Still more spaced out then any RV park. Also looked like they may have closed off some areas while I was here.

Only got 1 bar with Verizon and the internet was intermittent at best. No bars with T-Mobile. Turned on the cell phone booster, it was all good with both providers. No problem streaming video. Was near the entrance area. Maybe better reception closer to the boat ramp?

Agree with some other reviewers about the people here. Seems like some may spend a lot of time here and they added some character to the neighborhood, haha. But it felt completely safe.

2nd night here lake is great, but only found 2 maybe 3 sites that were big enough for my 30' travel trailer . Most sites more for tent camping as there were some there and very unlevel. Restroom useable.might stay again, if fishing is good trying today.
