Great location, right off the highway. I pulled into Cracker Barrel and saw the largest back parking lot I've ever seen in a CB. Several RV spots, as usual, but I chose a nice level spot in the back parking spaces. I arrived earlier in the day than usual for a stayover (about 1pm) and was given the normal welcome-wagon response when I asked about overnight parking.
A few others pulled in later at night but the lot remained quiet, a slight bit of road noise but it calmed down after 9pm. Great cell reception here too. Watch the automatic sprinklers.
We were pleasantly surprised by the ample room behind Cracker Barrel in Billings, Montana! We parked in one of the designated RV parking spots with about three other RVers. There was also a big, beautiful grassy area with mature trees for kids or pets to run around. My husband and I ate dinner and were pleasantly surprised when our check was only $28. We returned for breakfast the next morning, $20.
The only downside, in this free dry camping spot, was the road noise and delivery trucks early in the morning. But hey! We wanted to wake up early anyway!
Easy off, easy on, with a gas station 2 doors down. 5 level designated RV spots (though one space had a big container in it) and a lot of other space for parking in back. We parked in the end unit against the curb and had room to put out all three slides (with two hanging over the curb into the grass) and stay within the lines of one spot. As others said, beautiful big lawn out back for the dogs. Counted 10 rigs in total had pulled in during the night with plenty of room. Nice and quiet. Food was great! We ordered the chicken tenders family meal and had plenty for days! Thanks Cracker Barrel!
Tried the Walmart first for camping in my car and was slightly sketched out. All the more private spots were taken by vans, and the creepy lookin ones at that. Ventured to this Cracker Barrel and wow. The backlot is gorgeous. It felt like a campground. Peaceful, quiet, and had a really nice breakfast inside the next morning. Great staff.
The back parking lot is set up for RV's and we enjoyed staying there overnight. It was quiet and an enjoyable place to stop. We ate dinner at Cracker Barrel and breakfast before leaving the next morning. We will definitely stay there again when we're traveling in the area.
Great parking behind the restaurant, with nice grassy areas for our dog, After many weeks of being on the road, we appreciated that there is a Costco nearby off the same freeway exit, which we visited first. Good AT&T cell coverage, and after weeks of no cell service, we spent time downloading Netflix, Wondery, etc. It is near the freeway, but we heard no road noise at night and had a good night’s sleep. As always at Cracker Barrel, we enjoyed the Maine blueberry pancakes the next morning!
Pulled in late for an overnight. RV parking in rear. Already several campers when we pulled in after 10pm but still plenty of available room. Well lit, safe, and a little noisy. Don’t get the French toast.
We stay at CB often on our trips. This one would have received 5 stars because it is level, easy to get into with big rig, and great grassy area to rest and run dog. Sadly when we went for breakfast we found the staff lacking. Rude and snarky. I was surprised as we love CB.
We came in late at night and no issue finding a spot. There was workers there and said to park anywhere. We have a 37’ Rv with tow and didnt have an issue. Great spot with a big grassy area next to the parking lot. Right off the freeway.
Very nice place to stay overnight! They allowed us to set up at the back of the restaurant and use their well-maintained grass to enjoy the evening and walked our dog! The sunset was amazing too! There were 5 camping vehicles when we got their then couple more that pulled in later during the night. Hope that people that boondock their will keep it clean the way when they get there. Don’t leave their thrash, cigarette buts, dog wastes etc etc so that they’ll continue to afford us the priviledge. Happy boondockers here! Great to eat and shop there too!
