“an ideal spot for the entire family”
Mill Creek Recreation Area is an ideal family campground located on Berlin Lake in northeastern Ohio. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing, hunting, picnicking and camping. Berlin Lake is situated on the Mahoning River, where it covers 3,590 acres and offers 70 miles of shoreline. The banks of the lake are gently to moderately sloped, allowing for easy access. Beech and maple trees cover the area, offering shade and beautiful fall color. A variety of wildlife makes its home around the lake. Visitors delight in viewing nesting ospreys. Bald eagles can occasionally be seen in the area as well. The lake is a popular location for boating, swimming and fishing. Berlin Lake is renowned for its excellent walleye fishing. Small game species are found in abundance and hunting areas can be easily accessed. Mill Creek Campground offers 348 sites ranging from wooded water sites to grassy sites in the sun. Over 100 sites have electric hookups. Other amenities include a dump station, showers, flush restrooms, a boat ramp, playgrounds, volleyball court and nature trail.

Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 21, 2023We stayed here for 11 nights in July while visiting family and had a very enjoyable stay. The campground is large and has multiple loops. As of this review, all sites must be reserved in advance at this location. The bathhouse in our loop didnt have showers and was relatively clean. Our site was pretty level and had a very good amount of shade. The only complaint I have is that there was a frequent smell of fertilizer & herbicides/pesticides in the area. Other than that, I definitely recommend this site.

Price reflects Senior Discount All Access Pass for 30 amp electric. We had a shady spot under oaks near bathrooms, which were clean. Showers were at another loop and were hot with good pressure, yet lacked privacy. Rainy and stormy during our stay but site stayed pretty dry. Site was pretty level but large dips at front made getting in and out a challenge. Nice drive up to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We had good A T & T coverage with 4+ bars.

Well-kept sites with clean bathrooms. Beautiful area. There was some sort of vent nearby that kept hissinh randomly, but otherwise quiet.

Big park, lots of sites, ours was kinda backwards as in our fire ring was behind us. Very short nature trail but no real hiking. Quiet during the week and easy area for bike riding roads. Fills up with local boaters on the weekend but camping area still stays quiet. Several small play area for kids and a couple big ones. Only 2 buildings with showers in entire campground. Husband refused to use men's room near our site. He said it hadn't been cleaned since it was built. Ladies was usable but definitely could use cleaning & updating. There seem to be several volunteers living there.
Noah's Lost Arc Animal Sanctuary just down the road was very nice. Ice cream stand in Berlin Center was very good.

We only stayed one night, on our way home. The campground is easy to find and easy to access. Beautiful lake with wide boat launch. Sites are a little close to each other, which is why I can't give it 5 stars. Only problem we had was that it was hard to find the "loop" our site was in. We arrived at dark, and the signage is poor. The "A" in our site number (A040) corresponds to the "Aspen" campground, which wasn't obvious to me (but I'm a rookie). Another camper, walking his dog, helped us find the site. We'd definitely stay here again. The COE sites rock!

We just love COE (Corps of engineers) campgrounds. This one seems to have gotten skipped over, while others we have stayed in have been remodeled. it is a beautiful campground. There is only electricity at the campsite, so be sure to fill up before setting up and unhitching. Many of the sites are rocked driveway pads and most are farely level left to right. Bath house is clean. We paid only $15 per night because my husband has a "America the Beautiful " Pass (military disabled). Also, they had the cleanest and most convenient Dumps I’ve ever used.
Our sit is probaly a little muddy when it’s raining. And the path to the water was very muddy even without it raining.
We enjoyed our say and We’ll be back to stay again

This campground had a lake that was beautiful to look at and throw rocks into. The kids tried to swim in it, but said it was kind of murky. We did see others swimming though. Our kids really enjoyed the main playground. There didn’t seem to be many mosquitoes when we were there (beginning of August) which was great. We would come back again.

We really liked this campground. Next time we will aim for a water front site, this was a last minute reservation. Bath and shower houses were decent. They could have had a little better cleaning but they also were not bad. Very hot water in the showers.
Tmobile home internet worked well (25/2) and tmobile phones worked without a problem. Starlink worked very well also. Either would work.
The campground gets really busy on the weekend but is quieter during the week. M32 was challenging to back into due to its spot on the road, but doable with some thinking it through. Our spot was open for starlink access from the picnic table.
Quiet campground with many stars at night on a clear night.

Spent two nights here. Arrived late but reservation tags we’re waiting for us at the entrance. Nice site with power. Good AT&T cell phone access, several local tv channels over the air. Latrine was acceptable; showers were a bit of a walk but had warm water and we’re clean. We would stay again.
