Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on October 11, 2023A nice young couple, making good on inherited farmland, make an old fish camp into an up and coming campground. Across the river from a major canoe outfitter for some nice class one river runs. Not fancy but good for what it’s good for. Better value and water access than the expensive state park nearby. Far better than two other nearby campgrounds. I stayed here for my grandsons graduation and was quite comfortable. Canoeing the Shenandoah Is very dependent on water levels. Check the downriver canoe company site for more info.

The sites are easy to back-in or pull thru, there just not level. No electric sites near the river, but if you don’t need it, definitely get a river site! Beautiful!
Showers are great! Good pressure, not all the shower rooms have electricity and none have mirrors if you need that.
All dogs must be on leash, but the owners don’t keep there’s on a leash. Had a run-in with their German Shepherd.
When you turn on Indian Hollow Road, it’s a steep, narrow, curvy road for 1 mile. But then levels out.
It’s 30 minutes minutes from Dicky Ridge Visitor center in Shenandoah NP.
Front Royal has a fantastic downtown area with great restaurants, bakeries, and breweries.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The owners definitely care and keep up with the campground. It was nice and quiet and our site had a beautiful view of the river. We would definitely stay again!
