“a woods, water and wildlife oasis”
Acres of pristine forests and 60 shimmering lakes within 15 miles make the Bemidji area a woods, water and wildlife oasis. The legendary Mississippi River starts as a creek you can step across in nearby Itasca State Park. Neighboring Lake Bemidji is a favorite spot for water-sports enthusiasts and anglers looking for walleye and perch. Soaring bald eagles with 6-foot wingspans thrill hikers in the Chippewa National Forest. Fun-bike rentals, a game room, mini golf, a playground and a swimming pool keep campers busy at this KOA. Limited facilities in spring and fall. Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 100 feet. Protect Minnesota's Forest and Urban Trees from emerald ash borer or gypsy moth - burn firewood only where you buy it. Please don't bring any firewood with you unless it is certified.

The price does not reflect the KOA discount. We were guided to the site although it’s a small campground. He could have pointed to the site from the office. He made sure my husband understood all the hookups and offered assistance. There were two sewer hookups which is really nice when you have two sets of tanks. We had a 50 amp FHU pull thru with cable. Plenty long. Had a picnic table (looked new) and fire ring. They also have a few deluxe sites which have a patio and grill. Campsites aren’t too close but I wouldn’t call them spacious. Some shade. Big no leash dog run at the back corner plus two small runs up front for little dogs and puppies. Laundry with 4 washers (1.75) and 4 dryers (1.25 for 40 min). Did not use the restrooms or showers. Small store and gift shop, playground, volleyball, basketball, miniature golf, heated pool, horseshoes, pavilion/game room. Tent sites and cabins. Easy in and out. Gated. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Didn’t use the WiFi. They made/sold pizzas at the office. We didn’t try them. Two Irish pubs downtown. Both were good. I don’t give 5 stars easily. I think this is a 4 because of “value”. I think the price is too high for what you get.

This is a KOA journey, but it is well cared for and has a good clean pool.
The only thing that keeps us from giving it 5 stars is the cell service. It was between 1-2 bars on both AT&T and Verizon. Luckily the park has a very good Wi-Fi system which was recently installed.
Overall we’re very happy with the park and would stay here again.

THE GOOD
Sites: Large sites. Very long. Lots of grass. Some trees too.
Grounds: Clean and well-maintained.
Gas/Food: Gas, groceries, and restaurants just a few minutes away.
THE BAD:
None that I can recall
WORTH NOTING (Not good or bad)
Nothing special in terms of site quality. Very basic needs so I can't give it a 5 star. Otherwise, great stop.
Connection for work (Veeerizon MiFi and hotspots) isn't good. AT&T was a single bar at best. We were unable to connect to a VPN.

The park is clean but the hosts are rude. There are too many other RV parks in the area to be treated poorly by these owners. They have bad reviews on other sites and we should have taken their advice and found a different place to stay. You've been warned too!
