Belmar Beach

In May, Belmar was voted the #1 beach in Central Jersey in the Top Ten Beaches Competition, and #6 in all of New Jersey.  The Borough of Belmar’s beaches and boardwalk are open on a year-round basis. During the summer we invite you to swim, sun, fish, surf, boogie board, and kayak on our clean, safe, sandy white beaches and to stroll on our beautifully landscaped boardwalk. Our mile long boardwalk offers incredible panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is open year round. Badges are required on weekends beginning Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day from 9 am to 6 pm. Badges are required weekdays from the second week of June to Labor Day from 9 am to 5 pm. Belmar strives to offer the cleanest and healthiest beach environment for our residents and visitors. Our beach staff cleans and grooms the beaches every morning, and we strictly enforce restrictions that prohibit smoking on the beaches and boardwalk.
