“one of southwest Iowa's most scenic parks and the trails”
The 85-acre Lake of Three Fires is nearly a mile long and a half-mile wide, with scenic inlets ideal for fishing and boating. Surrounding the lake are 691 acres of picturesque woodlands. Although summer is the most popular season, any nice spring or fall day will draw hundreds of picnickers, hikers, photographers and fishermen. There are eight miles of marked trails for hikers, horseback riders, and snowmobilers. Playgrounds are located in the picnic area and at the beach area. There are horseshoe pitching areas at the beach area near the lodge, the camp area and the picnic area.

We stayed here with our vintage Airstream for a rally. It appears to be a popular park and the campground was full while we were there. The sites are dirt and grass, some are spaced a bit apart and others are close. There were like fifth wheels, but I think the sites are more conducive to shorter Trailers. The restrooms were extremely clean and kept up, even though it was busy while we were there.
This park is off the beaten path, though within 20 miles are a few small interesting little towns. We visited during the music festival which draws large crowds for its location in SW Iowa.

Stayed for one night but gave a quick walkabout the campground. It’s small but sits on a lovely lake that has a swimming beach, picnic building and playground. Community areas and bathrooms/showers are clean and well kept. RV lots are tight but decent. Tent sites are rather used if ever, many had weeds growing inside the fire rings. Also, the tent sites were typically sloped downhill. But not a bad place to stay for a night or two. The lake is great for swimming, fishing and paddling.

Stayed in a no hook up site over looking the lake. Had camp ground all to our selves. Rest rooms are very nice and clean. We had nice views of the lake. Water was very green but it was mid summer and 95deg.
