Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 09, 2023We stayed here 4 nights. The sites are grassy and well kept. Most have some shade, but some do not. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. It is across the road from Beaver Dam Lake, and out in the country (away from most of the noise of powerboats) so the setting is peaceful. Sites have electric, but you have to fill up your tanks with water when you come in. Dump station as you leave. Shower house and restrooms were clean and the showers worked well. Warm water right away. They were push-button controlled, so you had to push the button several times to complete your shower. This was a great park and we would definitely stay again.

Nice park just back from lake opposite town of Beaver Dam. Mostly concrete sites in a grassy park. Not much separating sites and the electric boxes can be a long way from site. Restrooms are older and spartan but clean. My only complaint was lack of heat which made getting out of shower a bit painful on a 30 -something degree morning in October.

I spent 3 nights in this beautiful park. The grounds were clean, lush, and grassy. The lake was very close. I used the shower and it was pretty chilly in there, but the facility was clean and water was warm. I would stay here again anytime I was near Beaver Dam.

The sites are all paved but most are not level. Some have a slight decline and others a slight incline. Some sites are close together but not that you are right on top of your neighbor. The showers looked clean, we did not use them though. There is a boat/handicap kayak launch across the street. We had kayaks and used the launch, which was very nice. Lake is overall shallow and very weedy. Lots of birds and waterfowl. Not much to do at the park but it was nice.

Located about 12 minutes from downtown Beaver Dam, we found the campground a lovely spot right next to the lake. This is a very well maintained small campground with the camp sites located in the back of the park next to fields that go on for as far as the eyes can see. About half the sites have some shade. Ours had good afternoon shade. It was not very full when we were here, and so there was some privacy. Spots have about 20’ of grass between them. I used the showers and they were nice but only stayed on by continuously holding a knob down.
The camp host was super.
We loved going into town for a few local events such as a farmer’s market and a concert in the Swan park on Wednesday evening.
Next time I hope to get some time on the lake too.
Great campground.

Driving thru the area, we wanted to just stop for an hour for lunch and this is the only place close that came up. Their website didn’t say anything about any day use accommodations, but we thought we’d check it out and ask.
The camp host is not on site and it is just a camp ground. Since there were only a few campers in the park and it was mid day on a Thursday, we just found an empty site and ate lunch.
That said, we would LOVE to come back and camp! The lake is huge and looks like it has lots to do. The campground has the lake on one side across the small residential street and the other sides are endless cornfields. There are massive oak, maple and walnut trees for shade. It appears that some of the sites are primitive. Huge spaces between sites. It was so quiet! Only the sound of birds and the cool breezes.

This is a medium sized campground tucked into a smallish public area next to the lake. There are plenty of big trees for shade, and the campsites are spaced nicely apart. The shower house is clean if small. There is a filtered water bottle filler which is nice. There’s also a Little Free Library! Beaver Dam is a cool town with a great brewery, two nice coffee shops, an independent bookstore, and several great restaurants. I had a relaxing stay.

Stayed for a week. The park is surrounded on three sides by soybeans. The park has many mature trees. The sites have gravel drives. Water is available at the entrance. Most sites have 30 Amp service. I’m told 50 amp is coming next year. The park is well maintained. Restroom and showers are nice. Firewood is available from the host. Sites 2, 3 and 5 are best for StarLink and DISH.
