Venture into Nevada's desert and discover Angel's Ladies, a deserted brothel with an intriguing past. Beside the decaying establishment lies a crashed Beech C-45G, a relic of a 1977 parachute stunt gone awry. The owners, aiming for attention, organized a contest offering a night with a companion for successful participants. Despite an engine failure and a collision with power cables, miraculously, all survived. Transforming the mishap into an enduring spectacle, the owners left the wreckage, creating an alluring stop for curious travelers along the desert roads.
Angel's Ladies was a brothel back in the day and the story of how the airplane got there is hilarious! The owners decided they needed a gimmick to promote their business so they said anybody the jumped out of the airplane and landed on a mattress would get the girl of their choice for free!! Together, the untrained pilots and a bit of drinking, saw the quick demise of the marketing ploy!! The plane is right where it landed and continues to attract "customers"!! We saw the plane in October 2023
