“See stunning, natural scenery”
Stunning natural scenery, windswept beaches, eight historic lighthouses, nature-carved rock formations, marine wildlife, and intricate sea caves – this is Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Twenty two beautifully crafted islands in Lake Superior positioned off the coast of the Bayfield Peninsula in northern Wisconsin.
We took an evening cruise, unfortunately it was quite hazy so we didn't get to see everything promised. However, the tour guide/Captain was very knowledgeable and shared many personal stories from his life among the islands. He did seem to have a slight distaste for the national parks system which he alluded to often. The boat was clean and neat. Overall worth the excursion.
