You could say that Tyler Barnes made a name for himself going dough to dough... From spinning pizza to owning the business. Like many people attending college, Tyler worked summers to help off-set expenses. The Lakeland College undergrad made pizzas in a family-owned Bartonville business called Terry's Pizza. A couple of years later, in 1981, Tyler returned to Terry's Pizza as manager. He expanded the menu by adding appetizers and extended the service by adding delivery. Finally in 1986, Tyler bought the business and subsequently in 1995 renamed it Tyroni's, a nickname his in-laws created by eliding Tyler and pepperoni. Today Tyroni's Italian Cafe is one of greater Peoria's favorite dining spots. The good food, warm atmosphere and quality service attract regular customers from Bartonville, Pekin, Washington, Morton, Mapleton and other area towns. We appreciate our Senior Citizens 62 and older ~ 10% discount... Dine-In only, alcohol not included. From our family to yours, we'll serve you the best Italian food. We make every item to order - please tell us how you like it. Thanks for visiting, Your Hosts: Misty and Tyler Barnes
