Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on October 21, 2020Relatively inexpensive, low end type campground. Lots of Rv spots but only a few tent sites which are close together. Has a nice pool, chlorinated and deep. Separate showers by main office, water hot but smelled like rotten eggs. Playground and campground bathrooms very dated.
We were visiting family in the area and camped at this private campground for 11 nights. Cost was $28 per night or $150 for a week. We prefer state or national parks but found ourselves pleasantly surprised by how quiet this park was during our stay. There were very few people around during the week and campers on the weekend were friendly and respectful to each other. Quiet hours were quiet with the exception of some distant highway noise.
This campground has 160 campsites and roughly 130 of them are "seasonal" rentals with permanent or semi-permanent large RVs. It did not appear that folks were living full time at the campground but were truly vacation units. The section we camped in was for nightly rentals and was mostly empty with a few campers joining us on the weekends. Campsites included water, electric, picnic table, and fire ring on a grass site. Some other sites were gravel. Sites were very close together with no privacy but never filled during our stay.
Campground has vault toilets in the campground. At the entrance and sharing a building with a Moose lodge is the bath house and arcade. The restroom/showers were very clean but the water pressure varied day to day and was downright lousy some days. This building is locked at night and only the vault toilets are accessible at times. Campground also had a swimming pool, small camp store, firewood for sale, propane for sale, two dump stations ($10 fee for non-camper use) and playground.
Overall, this wasn't a get away in the woods but a convenient place to stay near family (and Columbus, OH.) We will likely stay here again and would recommend as a one night stop or a place to stay while in the area.
