Karick Lake North Campground

Lovely small campground (18 sites), 30amp & water with dump on north side of Karick Lake in Blackwater River state Forest. Older but very clean bathroom with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Very peaceful, not many campers while I was here. Very nice & helpful hosts. Lake was recently drained for maintenance so no fishing, and no swimming although I saw paddle boarders. Interestingly, Verizon calls kept breaking up but I had good data connectivity with download around 15mbps or better.

The campground was very clean and quiet. There were only 2 other RVs there out of 15 spots. My only complaint was the cell service. Not enough strength to stream Netflix or Hulu. Sometimes calls will come through, but no data. For retirees, this is probably not an issue, however I still need it for business. That being said, the campground was very nice and we will be back!

We stay at site number 09 . It is a large site and has a fire ring and Picnic table . We camp in our 30 ft bumper pull camper . There are a few site that can handle large rigs . We saw a couple 35 ft fifth wheels in here. The shower house is a little dated but serves it purpose. We enjoyed watching the helicopter fly over . The road getting back here is good just flow the signage from Hwy 189. There a couple smaller bridge not very wide. The water is clear . And you can watch the fish swim around . They also have a fish cleaning station and couple fishing piers. Our Verizon had very little data unless I was close to the lake

We stayed in site 9 and enjoyed a quiet experience under a gorgeous canopy of oak trees. The power/water hookups appear new. The lake is small and spring-fed, and only electric motors are allowed. Would be lovely for kayaking. The bathhouse is a building with 4 individual rooms with shower, sink, toilet - very clean and accessible for wheelchair users. There are two hikes right from the campground.

Really nice
