Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on September 18, 2022Although pricey, this is a good location for touring the peninsula. Very close to downtown Baileys Harbor and short drives to towns on the west side like Sister Bay. All of the seaside towns are charming with lots of flowers and a wide variety of restaurants. You can bicycle pretty much anywhere. There are free concerts almost every day in one town or the other. Farmers markets abound. There is easy access to the water with many public beach areas. Our site at the park was unlevel side to side, and we ended up with one back tire slightly off the ground. The sites contain white rock that left some very deep ruts after a storm. The staff leveled out some of the ruts but not all of them. The white rock is small and gets everywhere. We were on an end site and had a nice green area on driver side. The passenger side was pretty close to our neighbor. We had our own utility hook up but some sites share it. The WII FI is either good or terrible. Utilities good. Directv satellite good. Verizon 4g 3 bars (varies at different sites). There is a nice, clean pool, and an activity center with a pool table, ping pong, and arcade games. There is also a basketball court and playground. Lots of kids riding their bikes or skateboards through the park. For the most part, it was quiet although some weekends got a little loud as the locals came to party. We would stay here again.

We chose Beantown Campground for a last-minute trip to Door County. It had one of the few sites that was available. On reserving a site on their website a site number was not assigned and it was noted that the site could change and would be assigned upon arrival. .When we arrive near sundown it was no one in the office and a man in what appears to be a residence noticed I was walking around outside granted something at me through the window and came down to escort us to our site in a golf cart. Upon arriving at our site or what we thought was our site there was another RV park there already and we followed him yet again in his golf cart to another site that was open. This turned out to be the site that the person occupying our site was to go to. We returned to our site and waited about a half-hour for the occupant to pack up and pull out. By then it was very dark out and made for a challenging time backing into the site and getting connected.
Simply based on the amount of RVs coming and going there seems to be mostly occupied by seasonal campers rather than vacationers. Relocation is good, the roads are well-kept, mixed asphalt and gravel. One asking staff for any literature about activities especially for children we were told they had none. Activities or literature about the campground. It was clean and quiet but with nothing to entertain our son, it necessitated daily road trips around door County to find something to do.
Please park may be just fine if you're a couple simply looking to park your RV in a quiet place if you have children And are expecting children's activities other than a swimming pool, it's a set up for disappointment. The Wi-Fi signal was strong however the Internet connection was glacially slow when it worked.

Beantown turned out to be a fantastic surprise. The pool, laundry facility, basic shop and restrooms were extremely clean and well maintained. The store was very basic but had some basic camper needs including firewood and ice along with some ice cream snacks and apparel. The pool and deck were large with ton's of seating without being cramped. The showers were very clean and provided plenty of room to change as well as a shelf and hooks to hang your clothes. The campground is about 80% paved asphalt with the other part crushed gravel. Sites were large and the majority of them(unless in the back row) were all pull through. Sites do stager direction so you can find yourself facing another camping group. We didn't experience this however we are discussing returning next summer with friends so this could be a great option for us. The park was pretty quiet. It did have a ton of kids riding around on scooters and bicycles but they were all very polite and we rarely if ever heard dogs barking. Beantown is also very dog friendly. They have a large area of grass that you can walk your dogs and a garbage can specifically for dog waste in that area. Overall we loved Beantown and looking forward to returning!

This is one of the best locations in all of Door County.
I have been going here for seven plus years. We have a group of ten families who stay here the first week of August. I would guess that half of the site face each other. If your camping with someone you know this is great. If you don’t know your neighbor it could be awkward or force you to make new friends. If you’re in this section of the camp ground you could request a site on the end of a row. Then you won’t be facing a stranger. Big sites and nice pool area. Many things for young people to do. There is a nice camp store that serves food and ice cream! This campground is close to several golf courses and endless tourist sites. Many fishermen like this place because there’s a boat ramp within two miles.
