“Alpine hotel like no other”
When the magnificent, rambling, five-story Many Glacier Hotel opened to the public on July 4, 1915, the Great Northern Railway was already promoting it as “one of the most noteworthy tourist hotels that ever has been erected in America” (excerpt from “View with a Room” by Djuff & Morrison). Today, Many Glacier Hotel still deserves the admiration it received over 94 years ago. The chalet hotel boasts a true Swiss atmosphere from the alpine beauty that surrounds the building to the themed architecture and decor of the striking atrium lobby. The hotel was declared a National Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 29, 1976. Many Glacier Hotel is located in the northeastern part of Glacier National Park on the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake. This secluded, five-story hotel contains 215 guest rooms within two large chalets offering lakeside, standard, and value accommodations. All guestrooms at Many Glacier Hotel are rustic, yet comfortable. In keeping with the era in which the hotel was built, the rooms offer guests modest amenities and old-world style accommodations resulting in a one-of-a kind, National Park lodging experience.
