“from potatoes to everything!”
J&A Farm market was established in 1972, when Angelo Finocchario Sr. and sons Joseph and Angelo jr. decided to venture out from potato farming to start selling fresh produce and flowers out of a two car garage and a wooden 8'x12' greenhouse. As time went on the family started expanding the size of the business. Then in 1988 Angelo Sr.'s other son Richard and wife Cathy decided to purchase the business from the family. Richard himself a potato farmer decided it was time to try something else. Along with the help of their two children Richelle and Richie they have grown the business to the largest farm market and greenhouse operation in Livingston county.Along with that the family farms around 900 acres of vegetables, corn and soybeans. Though none of the success and growth of this family business would be possible without all the dedicated and loving employees of this great business. We are a seasonal business, so we begin working in the greenhouses in February. We open to begin our new year a week before Easter (Sometimes earlier depending on weather and when Easter falls on the calander). We continue to stay open and close Halloween day. Then we open the day after Thanksgiving every year for our Christmas season.
Lovely selection of plants in the spring. The staff is hit or miss when it comes to being pleasant. They can be gruff and sometimes it seems like they're doing you a favor to ring up your order.... Read more
