There are also pull thrus. Some of the sites are FHU and some are water and electric only. There are bathrooms with showers that are basic and what you would expect from a county fairgrounds.

It’s Labor Day weekend 2020 and we drove right in had tons of spaces available with full hookups for $20. Campgrounds seem pretty clean. Bathrooms are a bit small but clean.
Very short drive from I-80 and most of the sites are pull through. Verizon cell service is excellent. I was pulling down 20mbps on my iPhone.
My biggest con is the large limestone that was in the campsite, it is very difficult to walk on. Only about a third had the limestone and next time I’d pick one without it.

FHU, level limestone gravel pad, great trees, kids playground, acres of space.
The water was turned off due to the cold, freezing Temperatures. So no bathrooms or running water. We had a full water tank and self-contained so not an issue for us at all.
There were three ‘suspect’ rigs when we arrived. It was Halloween so we were worried who we had for company. Two trailers stayed dark, one motorhome had activity.
In the morning we were there as they towed the motorhome. They had been trying to evict him for a bit. The trailers are actually owned by people in the city!
The town is quite nice, great Mexican restaurant, Casa Mexico; great diner, Grandma’s; and a nicely stocked grocery store.
More small towns need to view these spots as economic development as we spent over $400 in their little town. Fuel, food, wine.
The box for the campsite fee is on the bathroom building. There are fire rings and picnic tables and a dumpster.
We plan to return to this spot.

A hidden gem of a stop. Located on the county fairgrounds in the hamlet of Avaco, this a great stop along I80. Just two miles south it is right in the sleepy town. And full hookups for only $20. Nice level grassy sites and very quiet.
I would highly recommend this for a stop over if it fits your travel schedule. A full 5 bars fo Verizon 4g service.

This was a great overnight, easy access off I-80. First come first serve, $20 :)
We have a 5th wheel, a few trees to watch but easy to avoid! We ended up staying 2 nights as it was a great small town with activities around the area.

This is a gem of a campground. It is not a huge campground but with first come, first serve we found a spot with no problem. Water and electric for $20! Easy in and out and the entire place is grassy. Definitely would stay here again.

We stopped for one night, very nice for $20. Not reservable but plenty of open spots. Site had full svcs. Decent bathroom and shower. Right off of I 80, but far enough that it was quiet

Nicely treed campground, now has a camp host, many open grassy areas and a small playground. The shower was very clean, the self check-in is easy.
Improvements suggested:
• More law enforcement presence after football games at the school. Kids will be kids is great but the noise, the loud fast cars, and peeling out around the grounds seemed in need of curtailment.
•upgrade to 50amp pedestals
•upgrade so sites do not have to share a sewer dump.
Positive improvements:
•flowers and fall decorations were such a welcome sight
•overall campground is clean, mowed, and visually well maintained.

Easy to get into. Stayed October 29 so several spots open. Fire rings & nice picnic tables at sites. Showers & bathrooms ok. Won’t use shower due to cold temps. Campground closes Nov 1st for the season. Imagine they open April?
Traveling through on i80, wanted electricity for the night. Only ones there beyond what appeared to be a loan term. First number we called - county office? - said it was cold and snowy so probably wasn’t open. After a bit of internet digging found (712) 307-0509. They confirmed we could spend the night with power $20, but the water was off. It fit our needs. I’m sure different times of the year would be a different experience. I forgot to check internet speeds.
