This was our second season at Oakwoods Trails and we reserved out site again for next year. If you are looking for a campground with a party atmosphere, you will want to keep looking. If you are like us and want a quiet place set amongst the trees where you have room to breathe, you will love it here. The layout is not your typical campground. The sites are not stacked together with minimal spaces between sites. The sites are placed according to the rolling hillsides and large oaks they are nestled in. Each site is a gravel pad and has either 30 and/or 50 amp service, water hookup, picnic table and a large fire ring. . There is a dump station centrally located in the campground. There is a bathhouse, 2 playgrounds, horseshoes, basketball, tetherball, and volleyball court. There is a very nice secluded walking trail through the woods and a small fishing pond. Have not fished the pond but we enjoy sitting by it listening to the frogs and watching the turtles and other wildlife. We have had many deer and wild turkeys visit us. The campground owners are very friendly and helpful.

This place is great! I’m surprised there are not more reviews. The camp is about 1/2 a mile into the farm. The owner/farmer lead us to our site. The camp is a lovely rolling area with old trees, two playgrounds, water and power, a nature trail, and clean facilities! Beautiful!

What a unique and amazing experience. The owner, Brian, has turned a beautiful part of his property into a completely legit campground…. Level gravel big sites, clean bathrooms, showers, views, shade trees, hiking path, hookups, dump station, playground, tetherball, basketball, horseshoes, volleyball, firewood, picnic tables, fire rings. And, not only do you get all of this cool stuff, it is all in great shape. Brian is a master of craftsmanship in all that he does, and it shows everywhere you look. Please make sure you do the campground loop hike and check out the bridge he built… just him and his backhoe, Yep, I’m a big fan of this campground!

We got the weekly rate ($190 plus electricity). 50 amp and water site. Dump station. Huge site with level gravel pad. Green grass and old growth oaks. Campground is on a farm. We can see a huge bean field across the road from our site. Playground, swing set, basketball goal, horseshoes pits, sand volleyball area. Bathhouse is clean and smells like cleaner. No road noise. 40 pounds water pressure. 120v on each leg of the power connection. Quiet and serene. 200 Mbps download on ATT per Speedtest. Pretty much perfect.

Nice campgrounds on a family farm. Owners in their 17 year. New showers and toilets. Shaded sites in old oak grove of trees. Water and electric on sites. Increase in fees due to new showers and toilets. Still a very pleasant place to camp.

This was our last place on our trip and certainly the best. It took some driving to get off the highway and find this place but well worth the drive- maybe 10 minutes. It's actually on a farm. The host drives you out to the site in the oak trees to some of the most manicured sites I've seen. Water and power but no sewer but an easy to use dump site on location. Hike the trail near the field that takes you through the trees. Enjoy the quiet and greenery. Level site, sites are spread out so there is a lot of privacy. Would love to visit again.

Within 15 minutes or so of I-90 a gorgeous setting in an oak forest in the midst of a MN farm. Quiet, well spaced sites; maybe not big enough for huge RV’s but certainly would fit most. Water and power if you need it; a dump station but not individual hookups. Very clean restrooms and showers. Walking trails; kids play area. Not at all your typical RV spot by any means. A few sites have more permanent setups but that’s not an issue. Extremely quiet and immaculate. Because we’re solar and didn’t need power or water hookup, they let us pay rent rates.
