SPACIOUS SKIES WOODLAND HILLS is a family-friendly campground located in upstate New York amidst the Taconic and Berkshire mountain ranges, set between Albany and Pittsfield, MA, and only two hours north of New York City and two hours west of Boston, MA. We offer both wooded and open sites that can accommodate any size trailer. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, water, 30 or 50-amp electrical service, and many offer sewer. Groups and tent campers are welcome. Woodland Hills campground is easily accessed from Interstate 90. The campground’s private pond offers swimming, fishing, and paddle boating. Come in for the classic camp atmosphere and our camp store carries many convenience items and treats. We have three Riverside Retro trailers to rent for campers who don’t have their own rigs but who also don’t want to tent overnight, as beautiful as our wooded tent sites are!

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on October 16, 2022We only stayed here because we were headed back to Maine in May and campgrounds are mostly not open yet, but this one was. Plus New York State parks require a two day booking during the weekend, which is when we were passing through, and Massachusetts state parks jack up the price exorbitantly for out of staters. This place is mostly seasonal and residents and staff were friendly, but the place is awful. Old and dirty. It looks like they’re trying to spruce the place up, but yikes! There’s a LONG way to go. Stay here if you have to, but don’t expect much for your overpriced campsite.

Beautiful grounds, friendly staff and large sites. Only one bathroom on the property so it’s a bit of a hike from some sites but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We recently rented a camper from Spacious Sky’s. Though we have camped here for many years this was our first time camping under the new ownership. The campground changed hands about two years ago and most of the positive reviews are for the previous owners. Unfortunately, I think our most recent trip will be our last. The prices have gone up substantially but the experience left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, the site had about a foot of leaves that had not been cleaned up, the toilet paper in the camper was wet and crusty (I’ve included a photo), the camper was not level, the pavilion was condemned which meant the bathrooms, event room and arcade could not be used, the pond (not a lake as advertised) is overgrown and gross, the Wi-Fi was spotty at best, the bathrooms that were open were gross, they’ve eliminated the children’s activities and the managers were beyond rude. At 8:30am on Sunday morning I could hear yelling from inside of our camper coming from the other side of the campground. After talking to other camper we found out it was the manager of the campground riding around on his golf cart screaming at some of the campers! Shortly after my husband drove through and waved to the manager standing out on his deck, the guy angrily waved him away.
This campground was never anything special, it’s in the middle of no where. What made us keep coming back year after year was the activities for the kids and the wonderful people we’ve met. Unfortunately, now all of that is gone and what’s left is dirty drinking water and a pond I wouldn’t let my dogs swim in. I definitely would not recommend.

Nice park. Slightly understaffed - not the staffs fault that we waited 45 minutes for someone to come out and assign a site for us. We booked a later reservation, which should've assigned a site automatically but didn't. Overall very peaceful. Cell service was pretty good.

Extremely peaceful campground. Nice lake in middle, no yelling or screaming kids. Just lay back and listen to the birds and frogs at night. Very reasonable rates. Was purchased from a private owner and was run down but you can see they’ve made some wonderful upgrades and it’s coming along. If you want to enjoy nature, not listen to partying, screaming or automobiles going by then this is the place.
