“be sure to try a "Pod"”

Visitors to Asheville have an affordable option for accommodations in the heart of downtown. Their claim to fame are their Pods, which are basically bunk beds that can be closed off for privacy and have minimalist features typically only found in private rooms. Right in the heart of all things downtown Asheville.

Super nice building, but it kinda feels like you are in someones loft apartment. its one big open room....there are no doors separating the showers or bedrooms from the rest of the place. so you can hear people making breakfast bright and early. The lack of privacy was a problem for me. There is also no alcohol allowed. the staff were mostly rude except for one woman. at least the kitchen appliances and things were nice. Its just a very quiet hostel, good place to go if you have kids with you i guess. Location is good.

Pros:
Excellent location
Cleanest, nicest-looking hostel that I've stayed in
Well stocked kitchen with free tea and coffee

Cons:
No free parking. The lot across is $10/day. There's a sketchy $4/day hidden lot a few blocks away, and that's the best I could find.
Semi-loft-style. There are walls, but they don't connect to the ceiling so you hear every move anyone makes, showers and TV included.
The staff was polite when working with them, but they were very loud and rude when talking to each other around the hostel.
Beds are strictly assigned. Want a top bunk? Sorry, they assign all the bottom ones first.
There weren't many people there. Granted it was early January, so definitely the off-season, but I didn't get the typical hostel experience.
No alcohol

Only stayed for one night in one of the pods. Had a great stay! Very very clean, modern and super nice staff! Will definitely stay again when going back to Asheville.
