Only complaint .. sites are close up in each other at top area that has full hook ups .
Lots of activities to do as well as weekend functions. Internet not that great at times.

This was our first time at an RV park as a family and Zooland has plenty to do for kids. Even with COVID restrictions the activities are primarily outside allowing everything, but the arcade to be open. Quiet location and staff is very friendly.
Some of the sites are a little tricky with pine trees between the different spots, but not too bad.

We stayed at Zooland Family Campground because it was close to the NC Zoo. We knew from other reviews that the sites were very close and this was true. We didn’t experience any noise problems. However, we have a small dog and two close neighbors allowed their large dogs off leash to rush at our dog. We saw other dogs off leash so we think the campground should do a better job enforcing the leash requirement. The campground was nice and clean and the amenities were good. Wi-fi is limited. The sites are gravel and ours was not very level even after leveling, but ok overall. Overall, we had a good time.

Most of the sites appear to be pull-thru. The sites in our loop were were very close and fairly level gravel. The bath house was clean and large. I did not use to pool but it looked nice.

We really enjoyed this campground, except that it took us nearly an hour to level. We thought about asking for another site, but as we looked around we realized that most spots (all gravel) were not level. So, if you can get past the level issue, then everything else with this campground was a winner. Nice people, owners really good to work with, great amenities including a pool, and some very cool stuff for the kids. Cleanest bathhouse we have seen. Easy in and out pullthrough sites. Dump stations, and a propane refilling tank. More friendly to trailers than our Class A. It is a bit pricey, even with the Good Sams discount, but if you have kids then it is definitely worth it.

We stayed here while we went to the NC zoo and did some hiking nearby. The staff was very friendly and just great. We stayed during the week so there wasn’t a ton of folks there while we were there. The FHU sites are almost all pull through. The sites weren’t super close or spread out. It was about normal for a RV park. The pool setup was nice, clean and well taken care of. The bathhouse was also clean. We were able to get around pretty easy with our travel trailer and the other folks staying there were courteous as well. Our site wasn’t very level. Side to side wasn’t bad. It was a big difference from front to back. Some of the other sites looked like they might have been more level, but we would definitely stay at that site again!

We stayed for 5 days and had a great time. I’ve read some poor reviews but I can’t say that mirrored my experience at all. All of the staff that I interacted with were all very friendly and helpful.
I was impressed with how well the camp store was stocked. Some campgrounds keep a good supply but this store was one of the best I’ve encountered.
The pond offered pretty good fishing. I caught two of the highest bluegills I’ve caught in my entire life. The bass weren’t cooperating with me but I did enjoy trying to get them to hire for a long while.
The only real negative things I could say are the sites are very small. When I pulled in I was skeptical but after setting up I had to admit it is a sufficient amount of space. Toward the end of the week the campground filled up and even then it wasn’t really a bother.
I’d recommend this place to anyone planning to visit the area. Just keep in mind that you won’t be parking in your own personal acre.

We had site 130, which is electric/water only. We were very happy with the campsite. Tons of room and pretty quiet on that side of the campground. The FHU sites seemed to be much closer together and more road noise than we had. One thing to keep in mind, we had a hard rain come through which put our picnic table and fire ring under water(which the website also states). The campground was great, employees were friendly, and the bath houses were very clean. We had no signal for AT&T service but were able to stream on the Wi-Fi. Great place, we will go back again.
