There are three loops. Only the West loop has full hookups and paved roads. The site pads were gravel. About half of the sites in this loop, including ours, are large enough to handle 40'+ motorhomes with tow vehicles. About half of the sites within the West loop are level enough front to back not to need blocks. Spacing is tighter than most public campgrounds but still better than RV parks. Most of the sites within this loop have little to no shade. The restrooms and showers are clean and in good condition. Verizon and AT&T coverage were sufficient enough stream Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube videos without buffering. There is some road and airport noise but nothing too bad. Although better than almost any RV park, the $/night was on the high side for a public campground.

Apple Valley is a great little town with abundant bike trails, nature, lakes, but also close to town. Restaurants, Starbucks all nearby. The campground was clean, showers, restrooms clean, the camp hosts were amazing and called us to accommodate us with a cancellation. They stay pretty full from May to October so book quickly.
The store has necessities and ice cream. The sites are level and easy to get into, plenty of room between neighboring sites. Beautiful trees. Biking trails are close, so is the zoo.
Mall of America and Minneapolis are about 15 minutes away. You feel outside the city, but yet in the city. We would definitely stay here again.
Wifi is not good, however, so hotspot with your phone or go to the nearby Starbucks. Also the Minneapolis Museum of Art is great, with free wifi, a cafe and amazing artwork.

After picking up our new (to us) teardrop trailer in Minneapolis on a Monday, we wanted to stay someplace local just to test everything out. Thankfully Lebanon Hills had a space available, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we made a good call.
The campground staff checked us in quickly, and gave us the rundown on all the amenities. We headed to our spot, which backed up to a beautiful wooded area, with plenty of grass to walk our wondermutt. Just from driving/walking around, you can tell a lot of thought went into planning this park. The sites are nice and level, with plenty of space between each one. This feels very much like a nice state park.
The site had a nice picnic table, which we used to help sort out our new (to us) trailer storage. We didn’t use the fire ring, but it would have made for a nice campfire. We had full hookups, even though we only needed water and electric.
The bathrooms were among some of the nicest I’ve used at a campground. The shower stall was big enough for a meaty human like myself to shower comfortably. And you can tell the staff takes good care of the facilities.
We met some nice folks staying around us, and got the feeling that many of them return each year, and for as much of the summer as they can.
Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer to explore what this beautiful park has to offer. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll spend some time at Lebanon Hills.

Clean campground, really close to Twin Cities. Nice playground in the east loop (with really spacious sites). Our site, 36, had shade and a bit more room than other sites in the west loop. The camp office also had a little library and snacks for sale. Would def stay again!

Nice campground overall. Sites are close to each other with no privacy. Your neighbors sewer hookup is not far away from your camp fire ring. But, it is full hookups which was a nice luxury after a couple of weeks of boondocking and allowed us to do some needed maintenance and cleaning. And, it was a quick 30 minute drive to catch a Twins game. The campground allows pets, which Lake Elmo does not.

Lebanon Hills is a beautiful county park only a few minutes from Minneapolis / St. Paul. We stayed three nights. Most of the sites are not shady, but there are woods and shade nearby. The park streets and sites are asphalt. The park was quiet except. The campground is part of a very large county park offering many activities and near the zoo.
Stayed in back-in campsite #13 which was not shady but level. It was an asphalt site with grass on either side. There was just than enough parking for my 34 TT and truck. The site included: picnic table on grass and fire ring. Electric and water were located in the rear. 20A/50A electric. Sewer as located in the middle and had another hookup near the front. Neighbors are close.
AT&T had 2 bars of LTE and Verizon 2 bars of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 2.29 Mbps down, 0.3 Mbps up. Verizon Speedtest: 180 kbps down, 6.8 Mbps up. Free WiFi: 1.5 Mbps down, 3.6 Mbps up.
Would stay here again.

We chose just electric over sites with full hook ups so that we could have a bit of space and privacy. We're so glad we did. We had a wonderful stay, campfires every night and really enjoyed ourselves. The wash house wasn't far and was cleaned 3 times a day! Certainly 5 stars for cleanliness.
We stay here to be close to friends that lived in the MSP area. I worked out great. Our site was long, fairly quiet and pretty private. No shade, but level. Bugs weren't a problem either.
We did not get a gate code, and we were never sure if they closed the gate??
Check in couldn't have been friendlier and more welcoming. Super recycling program with 2 paper bags given to us with details printed on the outside, love that.
We'll be back! Can't fault this place.

The campground is laid out well. There is not a lot of room between stores, but you are not on top of your neighbors. There are quite a few trails for skiing, hiking, walking, etc. We enjoyed exploring. The campground is well maintained.

Close to everything you need to refuel and refill the camper. We've been traveling for several weeks. Good place to refuel the propane. Catch up on laundry. Do some grocery shopping. The bathrooms and showers are clean but need a definite update. We didn't use them but a guest said the water was hot but she had mold in her shower and the pressure was not very good. My husband used the showers and said, other than an update they were fine.
Our site was level and large. We are only 13 minutes away from the Mall of America.
Had TV reception and the internet was not bad. We were able to stream a movie.
If ever in the area, we would stay here again.
