Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on September 30, 2023Brand new campground makes you feel right at home and welcome! Owners are extremely knowledgeable about the area. Surrounded by excellent hiking, atv & snowmobile trails. Washroom facilities are best I’ve come across yet! Sites have electric and water only, but clean & easily accessible dump station. No WiFi, but Verizon has good service.

We have camped here several stays. Our last stay was with our longtime camping buddies and all of our kids and grandkids. We filled the water and electric sites, we are fortunate enough to have become Evers , except my kids are tenters. It’s was that terrible hot-spell this past July2019. Corrie and Tom went above and beyond to insure that we enjoy our stay. We had an awesome time! The river is cool and refreshing and so clean! The campground is beautiful with a variety of sites to choose from. Don’t pass up an opportunity to camp in tranquil beauty. The bathrooms have showers and flush toilets. It’s the most beautiful campground bathroom. August would be a perfect time to visit. There are hiking trails nearby, lakes and streams to kayak and fish. There is a nice restaurant with great food down the street and a general store if you need ice or forgot something. We will be back!

One of the best camping experiences I’ve had in a very long time. We stayed four nights and five days. Corie and Tom were incredibly gracious hosts! They are very knowledgeable about the area. The campground was immaculate and the bathrooms need to be seen to be believed. They are so clean and so nice! The campsites are beautiful and the river to splash or swimming was crystal clear and refreshing! There is hiking and places to go kayaking or canoeing. There were lots of people who were using ATVs or side-by-side’s and they were even horses! It really is a great place to go and unwind. The campsites are lovely! Highly recommend and I can’t wait to go back this fall! If you are a leaf peeper, this is the place to go! There is no sewer hook up, but they have a very decent dump station. We had no trouble pulling up to it. Also, there is no Wi-Fi, but my Verizon worked wonderful. If you really want to see Maine, you need to stay here!

We visited Lone Mountain at the end of September 2023. Cannot describe how impressed we were, we stayed 2 nights but are planning on coming back for 5 or 6 nights again same time next year. The owners are friendly and informative, they keep the place immaculate. There are umpteen hiking spots, you have mountains and waterfalls - very picturesque. Visited a local restaurant down the road and enjoyed their scallops. We stayed in the wooded area at the top, and explored the graveyard behind us - people from the early 1700’s buried there (amazing). Cannot wait to go back and highly recommend.

We stayed for a month at this lovely campground! We were "up top" in a site big enough for our 45' rig. The owners are so very nice and the place is super pet friendly! I think we convinced them to add a dog park! We'll see. I recommend staying there if you're looking for peace and quiet and great mountain views. So much beautiful state to see within driving distance.
Gorgeous spots, wonderfully accommodating owners, with beautiful Mountain View’s! We stayed in spots 5 and 6 which had water/electric, view of the mountains, access to the bath house and playground area! A great stop on our road trip:)
