Anchorage Museum of History & Art dedicated to making Alaska history come alive through its history galleries and a range of resources, including a library and archives that are accessible to the public. Located in downtown Anchorage, the Anchorage museum is several family friendly museums in one with the Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center, the Imaginarium Discovery Center (hands-on science), the Alaska History Gallery and the museum's many art galleries, including an excellent collection of contemporary Alaska Native art.
