Our Commitment: To preserve, display and exhibit our local history and sandstone heritage; to provide excellence in educational programming and historic preservation. To promote and educate the general public of the history of the City of Amherst, South Amherst, Amherst Township, Whiskeyville, Henrietta, Brownhelm, and pertinent surrounding area; to promote the history of the above area's sandstone industries and its importance to Northeastern Ohio history; to preserve locally produced sandstone architecture and other historically significant structures; to cooperate with are schools and educators in the teaching of our local, state and national history.
