Came here in April of 2017 to stay 6 months work camping at Adventureland Amusement Park. Very well kept with bath houses, laundry, playground, dog walks, rec room and swimming pool. Close to shopping, restaurants, casino and anything else you could need. YouTube video,

We only did a quick overnight here. Full hookups and mostly level asphalt pads, we’d stay again if we were passing through on 80.
The sites are packed in but the grounds are well maintained and the park felt well cared for.
We were surprised to get the second to last site on a random Tuesday night in May. Most of the campground seems to be longer stays working in the area.

For such a big park it was amazingly quiet at night. Pool still closed but it looked big enough. Very nice clubhouse with games and AC. Three laundry areas and washers only $1.25 a load. Only about 12 miles to downtown Des Moines. Trolley to bring you to Adventureland. Bike trail 2.5 miles away. Our site was kind of mucky from the rain. Site across from us had 3 trucks parked there and lots of long term residents had accumulated a lot of stuff.

We came here to stay over the weekend to take our grandson to the park. Park is a little crowded, spaces are somewhat on the smaller side, but full hookups. Not a lot of room to park once the RV was in. Bathrooms are a little worn, but serviceable and heated. Quiet at night. Very quiet. All in all a good place to stay if you’re going to the amusement park, but I wouldn’t stay here again unless I was going to the amusement park.

We stopped for a night on our way to Wisconsin. Nice flat, paved sites, many pull throughs. A mix of long term and travelers. Not far from I80 and downtown Des Moines.

I was pleasantly surprised that this c/g next to an amusement park was so nice. The sites were a bit close together, but there was a lot of grass, sites were level, pull-thru, FHU, and paved. Look closely for the entrance when arriving. We missed it and it is not easy to go back. We would camp here again.

I liked this park, due to it's proximity to the Adventureland Park. We didn't use any of the facilities, and know the WiFi is unusable if you are any material distance from the office. They had a convenient tram that takes you to/from the Park that we used to enjoy Adventureland.

A little confusing getting to the RV Park. Resort sign points arrow that takes you behind the resort to a dead end which you cannot turn around in. The correct entry is at the next light, just turn BEFORE the road to Casino. A better sign is needed. If arriving after hours you have to go to resort first to check in, which is along ways away.
Amusement park is walking distance on a path, so very convenient. We got tickets for $49 for 2 days at amusement park which was a good deal. Water park is great and amusement park is clean and has good coasters.
I ran into power issues from the pedestal. I was seeing 106v on 1 leg and 118v on the other. This was causing my Transfer Switch to cut power for 10min or so before it reset and restored power. This mainly occurred in the morning. It was only 70 degrees outside. If it was hotter I would have been concerned about leaving my pet in the coach alone. They need to improve their power.

The sites themselves are ok, some of the "circle" spots have decent space between sites, pull-throughs are close together. The problem I had was mainly safety and bathroom cleanliness. The staff at the office was friendly and I was escorted to my site which was nice.
The bathhouses we're always dirty, the one closest to me was dirty my whole stay.
Security was non-existent. My neighbor had 2 propane tanks stolen and several people were getting diesel siphoned from their trucks overnight. The clubhouse is essentially an unsupervised daycare for the workers' kids. I went up there once to use the wifi and it was screaming children everywhere and zero adults.
The campground is ok for an overnight stay, but make sure to lock everything up if you leave to do any site seeing.
