Palisades Reservoir North Dispersed Camping

This dispersed camping area is accessed by driving west past the airport on Old Alpine Road off of Hwy 26.

There are innumerable spots along the reservoir's edge for a couple of miles. Rock fire rings abound. We saw waterfowl and bald eagles during our stay, and the mountain scenery to the west and east is beautiful.

The area will accommodate equipment of any size, and the gravel road is in fine condition with the occasional rut here and there.

Several aircraft flew at eye-level down the river channel while we were there. Other than the occasional aircraft and some road noise carried on the wind, it's very quiet.

Spent the day in Jackson Hole but didn’t want to haul the trailer in that far. This was a great open spot with tons of room. The views on all sides are just beautiful. Will be fun in the summer with lake access. Will definitely return. Essentially just large open fields and pretty level, plenty of room for big rigs.
