We stayed here in early July for 5 days while we visited the Nantahala River & Fontana Lake Area, (very convenient distance away, about 20 minutes NOC.) We enjoyed it so much that we came back on our way home after hitting the Outer Banks & Blue Ridge Parkway. The owners have done a fine job of building a clean well-outfitted private campground while preserving the look and feel of a wooded public park. Showers and laundry are excellent and well-kept, and the huge porch area with rocking chairs & fans overlooks the whole campground from the top of the hill. Homemade cookies or scones with coffee on Saturday!

My husband and I have stayed at this campground multiple times. It is located close to the Nantahala for rafting and kayaking, close to Bryson, city for breweries and restaurants, and close to the Joyce Kilmer national forest for hiking. The campground is clean and well-kept. most sites are spacious and have some tree cover. There is a lovely creek that runs along the campground, making wonderful sounds to lull you to sleep. The new owners have improved the website capability, and I look forward to meeting them when we go there in the spring. They have also expanded the season, which I will take advantage of next fall.

Effortless check in and checkout. The campground was stunning and extremely well maintained. Nice clean bathrooms with roomy and clean showers. Big laundry room and even a pretty deck with tables and chairs. A little creek runs throughout the campground. Each campsite has its own trash can. Just a super nice place to stay.
