JC Stage Stop Resort

Arrived June 15, 2023 for 2 day stay. It is on a nice ranch and is self serve during the day. Both owners Liz and Steve work off the ranch so aren"t there during the day much.We found the RV sites after my husband took a walk around and went through the office. It was down the road close to the stables. It's a beautiful property and they have a bunkhouse and several cabins. The office is open and there are phone numbers if you need them. We picked a site and set up with no problem other than it was raining. Lilz came to our coach when she got home and met with us. She is a vet and Steve is a local.
There are bathrooms and showers up close to the homestead as well as a laundry. There is another set of bathrooms down where The RV's set up. They also have a small store and it's set up on the honor system if nobody is home. They offer coffee and bagels at the center if you'd like before heading out for the day. Liz was very nice and helpful with info etc. They have room for horses if you are traveling with them. They have stalls and pastures. the horses are welcome and would be very comfortable. Beautiful scenery all around!

My husband and are full-timers and we stayed at this campground in spring along our work route. It is such a beautiful, peaceful location amidst pine trees and the rolling green hills of northeastern WY. Only 8 RV spots are available, and spot #1 is the only long pull through spot that can accommodate very large rigs or multiple vehicles (we had a 2nd truck pulling a trailer for our ATV). There are corrals and stables for horses if you have them as well as cabins one can rent. Note that the cell signal is nearly nonexistent unless you have a cell booster. The Wi-Fi is not very strong. With our booster we were able to get at least 2 bars for making calls, email, etc. The facility overall has nice hiking/riding trails and is quite scenic. There is only one washer and dryer available for guests in the laundryroom, so you may want to head to Belle Fourche, SD about 20min east for that and groceries. Only annoyance is other guests may be bringing in their horses to house in the stables past 9:30 pm when you're winding down for sleep. Aside from cell reception, laundry limitations and evening noise, a nice place to stay with impressive, well-maintained facilities.
