“Cross over an active fault line”
We can’t think of a worse place to be during an earthquake than a bridge, especially a bridge that crosses an active fault line, but the Captain William Moore Bridge in Alaska does exactly that. Apparently, this South Klondike Highway crossing is only anchored firmly on one end as to allow the bridge to shift with the tremors. That’s assuring.
