We picked this campground because it would take Passport America (rate reflects the discount). This is actually a Thousand Trails/Encore Park. After staying at two of them, we have learned that at a Thousand Trails parks, you pick your own site. We'll remember that for the future.

We arrived just as a hurricane was threatening the East Coast. The staff put us on "high ground" which meant we were in the middle of all the seasonal sites. While we appreciate their concern, the hurricane was not going to hit and we were stuck staring at a junky seasonal site for a week.

We talked to others in the campground that loved it here. They were on sites that were not near the seasonals. We'll take note next time.

Note, if you show up and you are not a Thousands Trail member, you will get a phone call AND a visit from the camp host trying to get you to sign up. She was nice enough about it....but I really didn't want to be bothered.

The campground has gravel roads and is full of pine trees. Electric was OK, water was good, cable TV was excellent (for additional $2 per day). OTA TV was non-existent. There is WiFi if you want to pay $6 per day and it only works up at the camp office. Verizon 4G data worked if my cell phone was propped up in the window on the RV.

This is not a great location if you want to tour the Hudson Valley. There is a mountain between you and the Hudson River. After driving over the mountain for 4 days straight, we were sick of the 40 minute commute to see the sights.

All in all, if you are a Thousands Trail member and can stay here for free, go for it. If you are looking to visit Hyde Park, etc, I would stay closer to the river.

We came here for a few days to get caught up on school and work and this place was great. Cell phone coverage was good enough to use hotspot, but they did have camplink wifi which seemed to all have really good signal strength but we did not try it out.

Our spot was a really good size and all the ones around us were as well. At least 50-70 foot long back-in sites. Full hookup was great. We had 50 amp (only) power which worked just fine. Backing up to a river was a nice setting as well.

There was a large pool (closed because of the season) as well as multiple activity areas that were a bit outdated but fine to use. We also had a couple of playgrounds for the kids as well as plenty of walking areas for the dog. Laundry was $1.75 for wash and $1.75 for dry - so a good rate. New washers and dryers (4 of each) which was adequate.

Unfortunately no off leash dog area. There were a few places it could be added (a small fenced area) which would be a nice touch.

The setting overall was really quiet and nice. Nearby some hiking trails in the mountains. Driving in we had to go up a few mountains to get here, but it was really nice scenery.

While there, if open, make sure to go to Arrowood Farms up the road as well as the main farm in town for shopping.

We have Thousand Trails membership so this place was free as well!

This campground is ok for us as we're not too far away in New Jersey and, being Thousand Trials members, makes for a decent base to explore the area and get away for a couple of days. That said, if we traveled a long way to get here, we wouldn't have been happy. Our site was a mix of stone and dirt and made for messy setup as it rained earlier in the week. Also, while I know many have drain hose supports that would have helped in this situation, we don't and the sewer drain connection is so high off the ground it takes a lot of pressure to empty the drain hose. Even with lifting the hose from the RV connection to the sewer pipe, it left enough behind that when we disconnected the drain hose from the RV a bunch of gray water came running out the RV drain pipe.

The park is a quiet place to park the RV for a few days and explore.

PS: If you're in the area, find your way to Phoenicia and Brios' restaurant for the sesame crust pizza. Excellent stuff...

Overall a pretty nice place to stay. Some of the site were muddy because of the rain but most had reasonable places to spread out. Lots of trees and green space in the middle. Creeks all around.
Wifi is pay only.
Cell signinal was marginal (no booster, I'm sure that would help).

Beautiful area with lots to do in New Paltz and Mohawk Preserve.

This is a really big resort and my camping space was 8th after the bridge that every single Camper, visitor, anyone going up to the store, almost everyone in the park had to drive past to get in and out. It was a busy week for sure and having a 50amp RV I was between a Tiffen and another similar rig so, as an Airstream owner I felt a bit claustrophobic. Not so many 50amp hookups and all close to the entrance so it was a row of big rigs and 5th wheelers and me. The employees were generally helpful but as I overheard, there had been a change of management literally the week before so they did their best with the crowd. I had thought it would be nice to go for a swim but the park is so big, in 90 degree weather, I drove over. The 30 amp spots looked quite spacious, campers backed up into the shade and the pool was near the edge of a very large, empty, grassy play-area (think big fenced dog off-leash area folks, kids aren’t the only ones who go crazy shut up in a Camper for days). The pool, however, was filled to overflowing with a splashing, running, chaos, of children, not what I was looking for on a hot day. After a heavy night of rain I found my 1st Airstream 20 foot surrounded in a lake of water. (Also, what the person above said about the dump pipes being mounted too high up is true and I had one of those accordion lifter contraptions too but still had to put a rock on top of the connection as no donut or threaded appliance I had fit the opening and the hose kept coming uncoupled. Ugh!) What I liked about the park was my neighbor Tracey, who helped me back my new 2020 Airstream 30 Classic back in after I exchanged it for my 20 footer. I didn’t take out the Tiffen, picnic table, or back the extra 10 feet into the creek behind the space and there was still room to park my giant pickup truck in front of it for privacy. What I also liked was that, despite mixed messages when I called beforehand, they did receive my Fed Ex mail as I have a special diet I depend on. I. Have a Thousand Trails membership so the stay was $0 or I don’t know if I’d ever go back but it’s convenient and it’s so big so there’s always availability no matter how late you book before a holiday. So that’s a plus if you live the RV life now like I, newly, do.

Great pool. Large campground surrounded by several creeks. A short walk down the creeks leads to an awesome swimming hole preceded by tons of tiny waterfalls.
Cell service was spotty at best even with booster. 1-2 mbs even with booster.

Stayed 4 nights for free as part of our Thousand Trails membership. Full hookups. 50amp, water 45 psi, sewer.

The 50amp sites are on the main road near the bridge at the entrance so all traffic goes by. We stayed in site 20 through a weekend so it was definitely busy but the hum of our AC basically blocked out any noise (except the bugs at night, they're loud!)

We had a problem with our sewer backing up. We called maintenance the next morning and they came to take a look. They explained how the system has a filter and some elbow pipes going down to the tank so it often looks backed up but isn't. But then later in the day they came back to work on things because it certainly didn't smell right and didn't drain very well. So keep an eye on things when you open your valves!

There's a Walmart not far from here and a couple little towns, but most of the hikes and sightseeing was a bit of a drive.

Stayed here over Memorial day weekend. They had a DJ. And then again the following weekend. Lots of families. Good atmosphere. Water and 50 amp were good. They didn't have a sewer site for us so we got pumped out. First time they didn't charge (oversight I think) second time $10. Third time (not on their schedule i.e. emergency $20. Filled up with propane $3.50/gallon. Some pot holes but sites and lawns were well maintained.

We were just at the TT Rondout Valley RV Park in Accord, NY. Thousand trails member. Mostly a nice campground and lots of great things to do nearby (hiking, biking both at Minnewaska State Park, cider, wine and whisky!). We were in a decent spot #16 right next to a creek, full hook-up. Sunny from 10am-2pm, then shade. Creek view from near the back of the RV. This is where they seem to put many big rigs, which is fine. However, we stared right at the septic and 'backyard' from our neighbor. That is not uncommon as many of you know. What makes matters worse at this campground is that the 2 dump stations are literally across the street. So we were somewhat frequently treated to some interesting odors when someone would dump and even when an RV on our side of the street dumped into the onsite septic, the odor would basically come back across the street. Not the end of the world of course. But a weird placement to say the last for the dump stations and something folks should know going to Rondout. Other full hookup sites had other downsides, so this is a minor complaint to add to the comments here. Local cidery Westwind and brewery Arrowood within a mile away are both great!

Have stayed here multiple times with decent results. Prior to this visit we had an incident where our daughter (8) was ganged up on and hit with branches by 4 young boys who then proceeded to follow her home as she cried. We confronted the issue and thought it was resolved.
On our return trip 3 weeks later we again encountered group bullying and thought that was the biggest problem. We were very wrong. At approx 10:25pm on July 17th I was in the women’s room taking a shower. No one else was there until I saw a pair or shoes quietly enter the bathroom stall right beside me. I didn’t think anything of it and went about my shower, thankful for the time alone after a long busy day with kids. After 2 or 3 minutes I noticed a camera under my stall recording me. I screamed hysterically and thankfully scared them off. The police were called and staff immediately notified. I can not say that the initial response was poor at all, they jumped right into action and showed concern.
With only a description of the shoes there was little to do on but with 2 cameras in the passageway outside we had hope there would be something more to go on. No such luck as they are only live stream, virtually useless.
The next day, still upset, I approached the office to see what they were Doing, what would be done to prevent this from hppening again (or worse). The manager, Crystal, was as snotty and condescending as they come, her only answer was “we’re not required to have cameras on the grounds “. Absolutely beyond frustrated and still sick to my stomach I DARED to “talk over her” and was told to get out of her office.
I warned women and children, added flyers in the bathrooms to tell women to be on guard. They were promptly removed.
I received a call from a higher up and was first told that the staff felt attacked by me. The victim victimized the staff by demanding someone answer what was going to be done. Then they asked what I wanted them to do to improve the safety of the place. Me? Unmm put up Cameras that actually record instead of live stream. Add more security. Inform (don’t sweep under the rug) women and children that a potential predator is on the loose, don’t remove the only warning they have. Etc. Add some compassionate training to the management.
Disgusted and angry beyond belief. Would never recommend visiting if you’re a woman or child.
