Finally, with the TD Bank mortgage secured, we have a closing date on the Blue Dove!!! Friday June 23, 2023. Originally, the official closing date- set out by The Villages rules - "within 30 days of commitment to purchase, was June 14th, 2023. Due to delays in getting financing from the bank, we were initially set up to close on the 20th.

Wednesday June 21, 2023: Crossed the Ambassador bridge at 12pm and into Michigan, USA.
We are heading towards to The Villages, as Ray would say, "to collect our prize!"

Friday May 23, 2023: Brownwood Sales office. 2:30pm : Met up with closing agent, Yariela Visuete of Peninsula Title Company. There was an error in Ray's name, so while they got the whole entire documents redone, we went across the street to buy a golf cart. (Eventually, overcoming financing issues, we did buy a cute one we call " the Sandpiper"). Friday May 23, 2023, 5pm-ish: We are the official owners of The Blue Dove!
Thursday July 14th to Tuesday July 18th: Doris and Steve visits. Picked them up at a Hotel Doris had a business trip to attend. Wonderful first guests to have. They thought they would be sleeping on an air mattress. Little did they know that we went on a shopping spree mission and got most of the house ready and livable in one week! Surprise!!! What a blast we had with them! They were so impressed, as we were, that if they could, they would also live this lifestyle.
Friday July 21, 2023: Invited few new friends- and also our neighbours who live in our The Village of Newell, to a dinner at our house.
Lovely evening, great people. We entrusted Jerry and his wife, Lauren to help us retrieve our mail and had a set of our house keys for emergency.
Monday July 24, 2023: Bittersweet: Leaving Blue Dove and Returning to the Windsor home. Today is garbage day. We placed our last bit of trash at the curb. Got into our Bumblebee, circled around a couple of times around our block and then headed to the Florida Turnpike to get onto I75 North. Yes, the adventure in Florida has been paused... We are going back to our Windsor home to continue our paradise living on Canadian soil with the family.
Wednesday July 26, 2023: Home Sweet Windsor Home. Another epic drive but we made it home!!!
