On March 4th, 2023, we set out to explore Florida ("Florida-Plan B"). This was with the intention of also to site potential areas we might find a vacation home to augment our travels. On our way back home (April 12th, 2023), we had cemented in our minds that The Villages of Florida was where we wanted to be.
May 12th, 2023: With TD Bank (International) giving us the "green light", we left Windsor to pick out our vacation home.
Monday May 15th, 2023: Met up with our Villages realtor, Robin Stucker-whom we met on our previous trip, to pick out a house. We viewed half to a dozen houses-many house floor plans and colours to choose from the brand new builds released for sale.
Winner: floor plan "Dove" and the exterior colour of the house is blue!
We now fondly call our paradise vacation home "The Blue Dove".
We started heading back to Windsor the same day to get the deposit secured for the house and start the financing process with the bank.

Friday May 12th, 2023: Leaving Windsor to head towards The Villages.
May 12th, 2023: Found this Asian grocery store. Shopped here and decided to stay at this parking lot overnight- quiet with very little traffic. No problems
Sat. May 13th, 2023: In Georgia. Overnight stay.
May 13: I think this was where we find free dumping.
Sunday May 14th, 2023: Overnight stay.

Monday May 15th, 2023: Meet up with Robin to look at houses. Picked out a cute house. Spend more than we planned to but we are thoroughly pleased with our choice. Besides, Ray sees it as an investment, so he is ok with the expenditure.
May 15th: Late afternoon, headed back to Windsor to secure funds for deposit and also to start the mortgage process with TD Bank. (Very short window to get things done...Rules set out by The Villages. This is where we stayed overnight.
Tuesday May 16th, 2023: Overnight stay.
