“largest fruit grower in Central & Northern Jersey!” Melick's Town Farm is the largest fruit grower in Central and Northern New Jersey, with more than 20,000 apple trees and 5,000 peach trees. Our orchards cover nearly 120 of our 650 acres of land. The farm is owned by George and Norma Melick, now joined by their children Peter, John and Rebecca, thetenth generation to live on this land inHunterdon County. We have traced the family tree back to the period between 1725 and 1735 when Johan Peter Moelich arrived in the area with his two brothers. (Click here for a fascinating history of the Melick family as printed in General Store magazine, Autumn 2001.) The homestead is in Oldwick, New Jersey, approximately 35 miles west of Newark. OurPick Your Own Strawberries and most of the vegetables are grown at this location, along with our beautiful, Pick Your Own Flowers Garden.Just up the road, we also have approximately 50 acres of orchard in Oldwick at the location of theCider Mill and Orchards. This is the primary location for our school tours, and much of our fall family activities.

“A boutique Winery” Four Sisters Winery is a boutique winery opened in 1984 by Matty and Laurie Matarazzo as an investment in the future of their four daughters. We produce over 26 varieties of wine - including dry reds, a sweet red, dry whites, sweet whites, fruit wines, two ports, a champagne, even a pumpkin wine! Four Sisters Winery plays host to events of all sizes including wedding, corporate team building events, private parties, bridal showers and more. We also host monthly murder mystery dinners and barefoot grape-stomping events.

About Totten Family Farm Totten Family Farm is an 80 acre preserved farm in Long Valley, NJ. The farm is located on the ridge-top of Schooleys Mountain, between the Raritan River South Branch and the Musconetcong River.

Our Methods We care greatly for our animals as well as our land. We follow rotational grazing methods. We do not use any hormones, steroids, or antibiotics at all. We supplement feed with only the highest quality, organic, non-gmo sources whenever possible.

The Musconetcong River, with some of the best trout fishing in the state, winds through Allamuchy Mountain State Park.

Beginners and advanced hikers can enjoy the miles of trails used for hiking and mountain biking as they crisscross through the forests and marshlands of the park. A rock climbing wall is available for public use, but an individual rock climbing waiver must be signed.

Featuring twenty-two (22) different live action shows throughout the course of the day, Wild West City offers the visitor the chance to “live” in the old west!In addition to the shows, we offer a 24-gauge miniature train ride, stagecoach and pony rides. Guests can browse our shops and museums along Main Street, visit and talk with our many knowledgeable townsfolk portraying early western life as historic figures or trades people, pan for gold, visit our barnyard zoo or play miniature golf. Our Chapel is quietly nestled beyond the town alongside our authentic 1880’s Schoolhouse.

Backer Farm features a farm stand, CSA, naturally grown fruits and vegetables, local goodies, eggs, hay, compost, camps; and is a full equestrian facility.

OUR FAMILY & FOUNDATION Stony Hill Gardens opened in 1988 with an original emphasis in cut orchid flowers. Since then we have grown and expanded our operations in so many ways, offering not only cut flowers but a generous collection of flowers and herbs as well as an extensive vegetable and fruit operation. Our Gardens location grew to include our Farm Market location, which boasts a Maze Fun Park and 10-acre giant corn maze every fall, with other fun attractions throughout the year. Along with our Sunflower Festival, Jersey Fresh vegetables and fruit, we offer pick-your-own strawberries, apples, and pumpkins and sell pre-cut Christmas trees, wreaths, and roping at the end of the season.
