What a way to end the summer to cross the country with CeCe before UNLV starts. We flew to St. Augustine to the Hyundai Dealer and met with Randy, salesman, and Tony the Finance Department. Amazing deal we got.
On Friday, August 20, we headed to Woodstock, GA. to surprise Aunt Christina and Uncle Tommy since CeCe has not seen Uncle Tommy in 4 1/2 years. It has been too long. A scary mistake forgetting the Uncle Tommy has guns. I blame it on the 7+ hours of driving and the fact that we left Nevada 19 hours before we started driving.

Landed in Jacksonville Airport where we were picked up by the driver in a new Genesis and driven the hour to the dealership. What a wonderful ride.

Arrived at 10:30 pm no stopping except for the restroom. Wow, the car is amazing, it drives by itself and stays in the lanes, as well as, slowing down and picking up to resume the drive. At 9:30 pm we called Aunt Christina and tell them we were staying in a motel, and sent Uncle Tommy a photo earlier, but we found out that he thought we were crazy from the photo and never showed Aunt Christina.
We we arrived we tried to get to the back of the house and realized that we could not without impaling ourselves. So, we went to the side of the kitchen window and tried knocking on the window to find that the screen was on them. That is when I saw CeCe reaching above to the glass that had no screen and knocked on it. At the moment, a chill went down my spine when I realized that Uncle Tommy has guns in the media room, and I grabbed CeCe looked her in the face and whispered "RUN Uncle Tommy has guns!"
We ran to the front o the house and kept our body low to the ground while running.
They got a new French front doors with 4 elongated glass panels in each and I realized that he might shot through the glass, so I told CeCe to get to the left-side while I went on the right-side. We rang the door bell, but no answer. We then waited. We knocked again, but no answer.
We then looked at each other and realized they must be in bed. We felt a sigh of relief. At that moment we tried brain storming. We decided to text Christina and ask if they received the flowers that were delivered this evening for the girls. That would make her get out of bed since she would not want them left out.
It worked.
She came to the door, and when she opened it she saw CeCe and was screaming, "What is going one!"
At that moment, I screamed and then she screamed and then while screaming we hugged and continued to scream. Unfortunately, Uncle Tommy did not know it was us at the door, and upon hearing the screaming came barreling down the hallway with his telescope rifle ready to take us out and protect his loving wife and mother of his two beautiful girls.
Thank goodness we were hugging and he had to get closer and then noticed it was us.
Surprising Sophia she was at the movies.
What a great sleep we had and then a scalding shower was just what we need to wakeup and start the new day.
August, 21, Surprising Olivia.
To the Outlets for birthday presents for Sophia 21, and Olivia 19. Then the shoe party began.
The Old Towne of Woodstock, Ga, where we love. They are building new houses by JW Collection. I had such a bad asthma attack last night. CeCe was bitten by mosquitos all in all a great day otherwise.

Wow, the first Airbnb we booked. It was hard to figure out how to get into the hotel and on which corner it was. We drove around the place--literally. Then we pulled over in a do not park tow away zone and texted the hosts. We needed to use our phones to get a virtual key, and it was about 5 minutes for the phone to process and then allow us in—the same with the elevator and the room key. Under the sink were a key and gate code. Afterward, I ran downstairs and got CeCe, who was in the car and then drove back to get us to the parking spot. It was a long walk around the 6th floor to the room, but I later found the 3rd elevator in the basement, where the parking was lead straight to the apartment on the 6th floor. I wish they had also told us the main entrance lead into the garage and that I could have just walked through the basement instead of around the hotel's perimeter the first time.
Right across the street from our hotel was the Ole Smoky Moonshine and the White Duck. We went here for drinks after we got settled into our room. We did a Flight Taste Testing of the moonshine, and it was awesome. We bought the Peanut Butter Whiskey and the Banana Moonshine. We have also finished half of the peanut butter whiskey within one night; it was so good.
On our way out of Tennesse, we decided to stop at the Hatch Showprint and see what the fuss was about. Amazing gift shop and Museum inside. We picked up a NASH hat for Harrison and some patches and stickers for CeCe.
Stopped here for water, restroom and salads. Sat at a table for 4 next to each other and ordered a nice unfiltered sake and split a Seaweed salad, Kani salad and Octopus salad.

I cannot believe we made it this far. The car is handling amazingly. We booked this on Airbnb, another great choice. The Radisson Hotel had just opened two months ago. We arrived late at night, around 8 pm, and CeCe's class starts at 9 pm. We ran over to Target to get some bedding and coolers. When we got back, the WiFi was down, and CeCe missed her class. She was also on the phone with Brian.
