Weekend getaway to Maine! Booked the most popular "unique retreat" at Sandy Pines almost a year in advance while daydreaming about getting away during COVID.

We love to stop at Joe's Playland. It's a great arcade at Salisbury Beach and has a film photobooth, hard to find ones that still work these days...lucky to have this one in New England!
We stopped at Smuttynose for lunch and beers after the arcade. It's just a short ride away and they have a full restaurant in addition to a separate brewery/beer garden. Tons of outdoor seating!
After lunch, we headed to the most photographed lighthouse...to take more photos of it. It was nice to get out and stretch our legs here. It was low tide, so we were able to climb down the rocks and get close to the water.
We took a scenic route along the water on our final stretch to the campground.
We stayed at "Starry Nights" for 2 nights. Our cabin was at the back of the campground, right on the salt marsh. We didn't have any close neighbors, had an amazing view to watch the sunrise, had swings to relax in outside, and spent a ton of time by the fire pit. We'll definitely be back!
