Roma Street Parkland, one of Brisbane’s premier parks, and considered to be one of the two best examples of contemporary display gardens in Australia. Well known for its exceptional horticultural standards, it is also an important community asset, popular visitor destination and event space for Brisbane.
Christmas in Brisbane means A PARADE! The parade stars Santa and his reindeer along with hundreds of elves, drummers, dancers, performers and nativity animals. It starts at the Edward Street end of the Queen Street mall and makes its way up to King George Square where the pantomime is held.
David Jones has promised that we should look out for dancing Gingerbread people, drummers, life sized dolls and even the Three Wise Men!
Brisbane’s City Hall comes alive with an amazing light-show extravaganza. This event is a must do with the family to celebrate Christmas in Brisbane. The show is a charming seven-minute animated story designed to delight younger viewers while the impressive 3D graphics will entertain all ages. Jeremy scours the popular sights of Brisbane looking desperately for a lost start to put on top of the tree in order to save Christmas!
Don’t forget to listen out for as City Hall’s clock tour chimes to start the show each night.

Set up in the style of a traditional olde worlde Christmas market along the cobbled streets of Stanley Street plaza. South Bank Christmas markets are a great place to grab a unique Christmas gift for that had to buy for person and are one of the best ways to really get into the Christmas spirit with market food, twinkling lights, the scent of pine trees, live carol singers and children’s entertainers.
